After a rough day on Endor he survived wounded from fights with rebel scum. Many of his comrades have fallen or been wounded. But he did not let anyone escape.

This is my first ever custom Lego Minifig i've done. I've made the shoulder Pad, the headtorch and the back parts with fimo and paint the fig with some acrylic paint.

Shot in RAW on Google Pixel and edited in Lightroom and Snapseed. As you can tell, there's a lot of shadow noise when shooting in RAW on a phone, even at a low ISO.
Esse sand lindo da jade ficou tanto tempo na fila, tadinho, uma injustiça.
Um tom maravilhoso de roxo com pontinhos magenta e prata. Estes últimos na minha opinião seriam totalmente dispensáveis, acho até que o esmalte seria mais bonito sem eles. Mas o resultado final é um esmalte bem bonito, ainda assim.
A textura final após a secagem ficou ótima, mas achei o mais chatinho de todos da marca que eu já usei pra esmaltar. É bem grossinho e tende a juntar carocinhos se não pincelar com cuidado.
E vocês, já trocaram de esmalte esse ano? Quem serão os primeiros escolhidos? rsss...

He moves a lot, so this is a heavily photoshoped frame. Although I took many shots of Pixel this was the only one that shows his markings well.
I was comparing memory cards (the new Lexar 2000x UHS-II SDXC Memory cards are tremendous) when I noticed the gulls all squawking and scrambling and thought that there must be an eagle around. Sure enough, once was flying right at me, but from behind a pole and I was in my car and didn't have time to jump out. I anticipated it's focus point the best I could and took my shots after it passed the pole. This is 15-minutes before sundown. Hence, the reddish tinting.
Clipped the left wing on this one, but I like the head and wing position, so I kept it. There's the disadvantage of 700mm when a big bird flies close.
Lately I'm obsessed with pixel art. Its really different from what I'm used to doing, and its a welcome distraction from job rejection emails. I spent my entire Saturday, twelve hours, doing this. Right now I'm really derivative of Mother 3 and the Scott Pilgrim game, but I think I'm developing more originality as I figure this out. I love how details translate in miniature, and I'm really obsessed with wonky perspectives and making shapes the opposite of uniform and blocky.
Going to try some animation soon I guess.
Most of this stuff follows the MSX 1 restrictions for background tiles (2 colors per 8 pixel tile-row). Makes each character a bit of a fun puzzle to work out, but I'm guessing animation is even harder to do as the restrictions more or less chooses the poses for you.
You can probably see how the figures are a bit edge aligned - it's because with only 2 colors per 8px segment, not doing a straight edge wastes a color. By aligning the Goomba's face to the tile edge, I'm able to do the black pupils using the extra color.
I made my own MSX palette for this with a tweaked set of 16 (15) colors. Afaik, an official palette does not exist due to how the hardware generates colors.

Done as a birthday/Mother's Day gift for my Mum - this piece features her, me, all four of my siblings, and our significant others. I think it's my favourite project yet!

Hi all. It's just a really quick one tonight and proberbly the most tenuous link to a challenge but here goes...
this is Pixel. She is our brand new 10 wk old Shih tzu puppy! she's diddy and cute and adorable and she's only been with us since 1pm so as you can imagine, my brain and time has been spent elsewhere today. can you blame me though???
anyhow, i'm sure, once she's settled in, she'll have to start attending puppy school and if that isn't enough, she's going to walk liam to school (well nursery actually) as he starts his very first day ever on monday!
anyway, hope everyone is having a good weekend and if i don't catch up with ya'll tonight, I will do tomorrow.
