Los PÃxel – InvÃtame
La experiencia al servicio de lo nuevo tiene nombre. Se llama PÃxel. Es el nombre de una banda venezolana que en esta década nos ha logrado mostrar cómo el recorrido de sus integrantes ha servido para ser capaz de cimentar un piso de canciones que sostiene la estructura de una vida entregada a la música. Habiendo crecido en bandas de los ochenta y noventa, el recorrido logró llegar a este proyecto.
Ha sido uno de los más reconocidos artistas que de Venezuela se ha escuchado en los últimos años, por su manera de darnos a conocer la amalgama de rock, blues y ecos del punk unido con letras de clara referencia al drama urbano. Bien sabemos que Caracas es una ciudad que está calentándose mucho y si bien ya ha estallado en otras ocasiones, no estaremos lejos de tener un dÃa donde se queme del todo y paguen por sus cenizas.
Los PÃxel se encargan de mostrar canciones angustiosas, rápidas y efectivas. Nos pueden hacer sentir con ganas de efervescer debido a su efectiva dosis de rapidez, pero que no descuida el angustio romántico. Con este disco, publicado en el 2003, recorrieron tarimas y locales de ese paÃs, ganándose un lugar dentro de la movida local y por ende continental.
Por eso, no tengo nada. Por eso, siempre voy a correr.

This was for the pixel man assignment. I used Vertical orientation and i got in close to the subject. I like this photo because i felt like i did really well with the scenery, i felt like it added a lot to the image. I deserve an A+
Finally got around to uploading some pics from a trip to Japan. Hopefully will get around to adding better tags/titles/geo at some point.
I only had my phone (a Google Pixel 3a) with me so was a little limited but seemed to cope OK.

Dirksland - Sas van Dirksland
Sas van Dirksland - a national monument located between Dirksland and the Haringvliet, an open connection with the North Sea for the construction of the Delta Works. The double-turn lock from 1791 was designed and built by Teunis Blanken Jansz, the brother of engineer Jan Blanken, architect of the dry dock in Hellevoetsluis. Until the seventies of the twentieth century, this lock served as a reversing, safety and discharge sluice. After the Delta Works removed the tides, the Sas became superfluous for shipping traffic that also ceased around 1975 with the construction of the permanent river crossings of the Delta Works.
From this harbor the ferry sailed to Hellevoetsluis and other places on the other side of the Haringvliet. In earlier times people traveled via Flakkee to France, mainly merchants and ushers. On the old route from Amsterdam or The Hague to the south, one had to cross the Maas at Maassluis to the island of Rozenburg, from there to Voorne and Putten and from Hellevoetsluis cross the Haringvliet to the Dirkslandse Sas. From Flakkee the journey continued via the Galatees lock at Ooltgensplaat over the Volkerak to Brabant. A long journey on horseback or by carriage.
