Sometimes things go your way and sometimes they don’t. For Maggie here it’s definitely the latter. There she was watching Netflix late one night when she came across a dead pixel on her screen - or at least that's what she thought it was.
After some intense experimental use of ayahuasca, however, Maggie now believes some parts of her face are teleported to the void and vice versa. She never knows when it’s going to happen but it’s always inconvenient. Missing parts of films at the cinema or conversations with potential suitors. It’s all rather embarrassing really.
I can attest to this because just as she was about to sit for her portrait for me some white shadowless void spots appeared on/in her face and stayed there until I’d finished. It really was very strange..
She’s on the finest a3 bockingford paper and has been lovingly handmade using the magic of acrylic and watercolour. If you’d like Maggie and the void for your wall just drop us a line.
Cheers

No prizes for guessing the inspiration behind this picture!
Strobist info: Pixel X800N held in hand on 1/128 power with diffuser 'thing' to bring the power down even further, Pixel X800N bounced off white wall camera right 1/4 power to bring up the red wall behind me.
Camera fired with ML-L3 infrared remote, flashes with Pixel King Pro radio trigger on the hot shoe.
JPEG file SOOC, cropped but otherwise untouched.
very simple block letters & numbers, mostly because I am getting sick of doing them again and again.
Two construction workers sleeping so peacefully without a bed and even a pillow. their expectations from life is not so high, so, they don't have any worry or sigh of falling behind in the rat race of today's world.
Instead they live for the day and have a happy life.
See how soundly they are sleeping.
It reminds me of the Italian folklore "The Happy Man's Shirt".
You can also be happy with almost nothing.
Pixel Prom 2016 was once again hosted by the lovely Harlow Heslop on the Blithe Sim.. Huge thanks for giving so many of a night to remember with our friends and loved ones each year! <33

A plaquinha é a Cici&Sisi 18. O degradê da estampa eu fiz com os esmaltes pra carimbo da La Femme Branco e Rosa. TC por cima.
Beijos!

Testing my new Pixel 6 Pro. First phone I've owned that I thought the image quality was decent.
I am always a big fan of manga style such as: GANTZ, Tenjhou Tenge, Air Gear (by Oh! Great), or even DEATH NOTE drawing style is fantastic. A little bit of City Hunter influence as well from the past. It's the line they use to get the bare essentials of character features are just beautiful.
Above is originally from Leah Dizon photograph (I believe she has Japanese-Philipine mixed model, recently quite popular in Japan too). I traced-pixel this in Photoshop. Some parts are easier to draw, you just need a steady hand to draw long super thin lines, but the facial features are always difficult. Like eyes and lips, can't follow exactly. The lips itself should not be drawn fully every lines, it's more a play with shadings, which I know I need to work more on it. This alone took me 2-3 hours. A reminder once more that drawing is a long process. One tips I learn, in order to get the "manga" look: avoid overdraw the nose, the less the details, the better. Eyes should always be drawn bigger for female, as you must know already, although you constantly make decision, draw bigger = cute, draw smaller = sexy. Lips itself is simply a line, but you just have to get it perfect. Really perfect. Even for this I am not getting it perfectly.
I could do more with the shading, but I realized that will take me many more hours. I think I better work on something else. But it was fun to do.
September 27, 2013 - Kearney Nebraska US
@ Work, and we weren't busy. I knew this was coming and it had good definition. However, at that time my current employers was not in the same mind set as I was. I could NEVER get off of work early to chase the storms.
So I got lucky, and was able to slip out back for about 15 mins as this intense late September Shelf Cloud rolled over northern boundaries of the city of Kearney.
