Fujifilm X-T3

XF 55-200mm

I had hoped the ice had built up on the pinecones but, alas, it hadn't. It still turned out to be a fairly good shot.

I found this pinecone in the park this afternoon - something about its battered appearance interested me.

Our Daily Challenge 13-19 June : Door or window furniture

They're baby pinecones! Sorry for any graininess, I'm not sure why that happened.

3 photos stitched together (top middle and bottom) with photoshops; Photomerge.

Near 1:1 macro I think, though not entirely sure.

Taken at ~70mm with the following set up.

60mm extender tube(s) with a sigma 55-200mm on a Nikon D40.

(All manual, due to non-CPU extension tube) So manual flash/exposure/focus.

F22 due to my lens not having manual aperture control, so the lack of CPU contacts on the extensions tube left the lens being fully closed.
