I was walking around a park and noticed this pinecone lying on the grass. I have a fondness for pictures taken through grass blades, and thought this would make a neat picture. I did not move the pinecone or the grass in any way.
Photoshop CS2 was used to adjust brightness and contrast. Taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ3S (5.0 MP).

3 pinecones in my parents evergreen tree in Wisconsin. Sun was shining on them which made the color photo a bit odd, so I black and white was better I think.
Pinecones tend to represent the Pineal Gland, also known as the Third Eye, or the epicenter of concious thought and connection.
A few days ago we had a branch weighed down with some snow fall in the front yard of our house. And so I recovered a pinecone or two for Christmas decorations. Here's one of them photographed with the Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens.
