This immature pineapple pulled my attention away from the bananas for a few minutes. I think the large is worth a look to appreciate the shallow DoF.
Ripe pineapple! Its time to it, isn't it?

I've been experimenting with circular shapes for a spaceship that I have in my head and this emerged. It's a rather abstract shape: it could be a chrysanthemum or a sun or a tinned pineapple ring or something else... I suspect Mr. Frost could use it as a wheel!
The pineapple in my backyard leaning even more than in the previous picture taken a day earlier.
This is my third attempt at faking sunset lighting, and the first that puts some light on the subject rather than just the background.

We had pineapple for dinner. It was so interesting looking I just had to photograph it... Used one SB-600 off camera, to the left of the pineapple.
What do you do when it's wet out . . . you photograph the pineapple on your window sill that youre going to use with dinner tonight!

We have one word for this pineapple fragrance oil we found: WOW!! It smells so deliciously juicy and fresh--it will not disappoint (no overly sweet scent here!). This soap is very realistic looking--it's made from a mold of a real pineapple ring!
I planted the crown of a store bought pineapple and this is the result so far, probably almost two years later..

The pineapple (Ananas comosus) is a tropical fruit. Pineapples can be consumed fresh, cooked, juiced, or preserved. They are found in a wide array of cuisines. In addition to consumption, the pineapple leaves are used to produce the textile fiber piña in the Philippines, commonly used as the material for the men's barong Tagalog and women's baro't saya formal wear in the country. The fiber is also used as a component for wallpaper and other furnishings.
