The communiqué simply said “PICKUP: The Rusted Tanker Bar, Arisa Spaceport on Ordranius IV - 13:20 Local Time - Talk to the redhead behind the bar and order a Hodina Sunset, extra sweet, with a Toola Berry on top. She’ll give you what you need. We’ll contact you with the next step after you get the goods.”

Two-bit smuggler Jak Jenner hated cryptic messages. Their instructions were usually way too complicated for his taste. But this job seemed easy enough and the pay was good. Plus so far out from Federation space kept him away from the prying eyes of Space Police. Jak had a few warrants out for his arrest across 4 systems for petty smuggling, so he wasn’t eager to get caught anytime soon.

Here we have Jak picking up “the goods” from the bartender as ordered. Looks like an Solian data crystal. Huh, wonder what information is stored on the crystal that was so important to his employer? Well, it ain’t his problem!

::: Been a while since I posted! This is just a short little series to introduce a new character (and no it isn’t Jak Jenner, you’ll soon find out). Thought it would be fun to do little something different, however this does take place in my “Nova Team” main series, it just doesn’t involved the crew right now. They’ll be back soon enough. As always, comments and thoughts welcomed! Thanks!

I saw this old Fargo Pickup at a show and shine in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. This is a 1958 Fargo. I really like the boxy, squareness of the front end.

I always thought Ford made Fargo. However, I was corrected by joeinpenticton that it was indeed Dodge. Thanks for the correction Joe...

The Jeep Gladiator J-Series pickup truck was based upon their Wagoneer model.

This style of grille that spans the width of the front end and resembles an electric shaver head indicates a year model likely from the early 1970s.

Day 22. Bit of a surprise today finding an old US pickup truck parked down a quiet side street.

One of my favorite finds over the summer. Sadly it was night time when I photographed it.

It looks a bit rusty and faded in spots but that's the intent! Despite its older appearance, the drivetrain is modern.
