STEM: ZAHS Physics Class launches rockets

Students from Zama American High School’s Physics Class launched model rockets — they designed and built— into the air at Dewey Park May 25 – 26. Some students’ rockets reached more than 650 feet high before falling back down.

This was a STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) activity to show students what is learned at school can be applied beyond the classroom. (U.S. Army Photos by Lance D. Davis)

Step down. It's time for Michael Huff, baseball player extraordinaire, to take the plate.

Physics can get boring too.

Logo for one of the first websites I developed. It was for the National Junior College, Singapore, physics department. Looks pretty cheesy now.

this deep fry pan does not fall through the table because of newtons third law. for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. the table is exerting the same amount of force on the fry pan as the pan is on the table thus they do not move.
