Can someone help me please? This database came with microsoft visual web developer 2010. I need to know how to use it. It isn't doing anything when I load it. The database at my school that blocks websites and connects to the printer goes immediately. It scrolls down and uses html codes and what not and then it is finished. We log on. But isn't this php database something I have to load and it inputs everything? or Something like:

Recording of the follow up album to 'The Raven that Refused To Sing' starts this month (with the same band line-up).

— Steven Wilson (@StevenWilsonHQ) agosto 2, 2014

No merecen estar allí.

GLOSSARY BELOW

Shell Description

Leptochiton asellus grows to a maximum length of 18 or 19 mm. It is a broad oval with width 60% to 70% of its length 01La flic.kr/p/2qCvBg4 & 12La flic.kr/p/2qCvypH . Intermediate valves ii to vii have almost straight side slopes. Valves iv and v and are elevated about 36% (Kaas & Van Belle, 1985) of their span 02La flic.kr/p/2qCuqFB creating a low shell profile. They are moderately keeled and, when unworn, each valve usually has a slight beak which is best seen in lateral view 02La flic.kr/p/2qCuqFB & 12La flic.kr/p/2qCvypH .

In clean water, the tegmentum (dorsal surface) is dirty white or light grey, usually with longitudinal dark streaks of black-brown 03La flic.kr/p/2qCw7GL , grey 01La flic.kr/p/2qCvBg4 , brown 04La flic.kr/p/2qCvDPm or olive green. In many places the colour is dominated by deposits of brown 05La flic.kr/p/2qCpLHg or black 06La flic.kr/p/2qCvz9J on the valves and girdle, varying in intensity and extent up to an almost complete cover. When cover is partial, the deposits are usually most dense on the oldest shell material near the posterior margin of each valve, and least intense on recent growth at the ends of each valve and on the anterior margins which are often covered by the adjacent valve 05La flic.kr/p/2qCpLHg .

The head valve (i) is almost semicircular 07La flic.kr/p/2qCvDyG with a straight front slope 08La flic.kr/p/2qCvzLw . The tail valve (viii) is bluntly triangular and narrower than the head valve. Its length is less than half its width 09La flic.kr/p/2qCpGkU and its posterior slope is straight or slightly concave 08La flic.kr/p/2qCvzLw . The mucro is slightly anterior of the centre 09La flic.kr/p/2qCpGkU of the tail valve (viii) but seems more so when the anterior of the valve is hidden under the posterior of valve vii 07 La & 08La flic.kr/p/2qCvzLw . The tegmentum (dorsal surface) of the valves is roughened by many small, low pustules which are arranged in crowded radiating lines on the head valve (70 to 80), postmucronal part of the tail valve, and lateral triangles of intermediate valves (15 to 20) 04La flic.kr/p/2qCvDPm & 07La flic.kr/p/2qCvDyG . They are in longitudinal lines on the central area of intermediate valves (60 to 70) 07La flic.kr/p/2qCvDyG and the antemucronal area of the tail valve 09La flic.kr/p/2qCpGkU . Valves i and viii and the lateral areas of valve ii to vii have concentric growth lines which vary in number and clarity; sometimes being made more discernible by differential staining 01La flic.kr/p/2qCvBg4 . The tegmentum is permeated by aesthete canals containing sensory tissue.

The whitish or greyish blue articulamentum is thin and weak 10La flic.kr/p/2qCwreR . It protrudes from under the tegmentum as a pair of small apophyses which are approximately triangular with a rounded apex, and are separated by a wide sinus 10La flic.kr/p/2qCwreR . As on other Leptochiton species, the ventral surfaces of the valves have no slits forming insertion plates (Matthews, 1967) 10La flic.kr/p/2qCwreR & 11La flic.kr/p/2qCvAXK .

When the narrow girdle is fully spread, each side of it is about 10% of the total body width 12La flic.kr/p/2qCvypH . Dorsally, it is whitish 12La flic.kr/p/2qCvypH with no pattern, but is often stained with brown and black 06La flic.kr/p/2qCvz9J or yellow 03La flic.kr/p/2qCw7GL to rust 13La flic.kr/p/2qCpGgq coloured deposits. It has irregularly spaced, crowded, elongate, bluntly pointed scales which are often stained by deposits 06La flic.kr/p/2qCvz9J , 12La flic.kr/p/2qCvypH & 13La flic.kr/p/2qCpGgq . Ventrally, it has radiating, elongate, rectangular scales with blunt, distal points 14La flic.kr/p/2qCvwCX . The mantle edge has slender, smooth, white needle like spicules and stout spicules (Kaas & Van Belle, 1985) 15La flic.kr/p/2qCvzrZ .

Body Description.

The head and foot rarely protrude into view naturally on live individuals, and are best seen if the chiton is removed from the substrate and attached to glass.

The head consists of a mouth surrounded by the anterior of the foot and a large anterior and lateral rim; it has no eyes or sensory tentacles. When shut the mouth is a transverse slit 16La flic.kr/p/2qCvzdN which opens into circle, sometimes revealing the dull reddish radula 17La flic.kr/p/2qCpG3Q .The median and intermediate plates of the radula widen distally into curved blades. The flesh is whitish or yellowish, often with pink edges on the foot, head and mantle fold 15La flic.kr/p/2qCvzrZ . Dark viscera may show faintly through the slightly translucent sole.

The aragonite valves have a thin weakly developed articulamentum and a tegmentum permeated by aesthete canals. They lack strength and are easily fractured 11La flic.kr/p/2qCvAXK , but strong muscles often hold the broken parts in position and may enable the chiton to continue functioning. The transverse muscles form thick pads in the overlap between adjacent valves 10La flic.kr/p/2qCwreR . They connect the dorsal surface of the anterior insertion plate of one valve to the ventral surface of the posterior edge of the adjacent preceding valve.

The mantle cavity is an open groove around the whole animal 15La flic.kr/p/2qCvzrZ & 18La flic.kr/p/2qCumcG . On each side the groove contains 7 to 13 simply pinnate, fleshy gills 19La flic.kr/p/2qCum3y . They extend alongside the posterior 40% or less of the foot (merobranch arrangement) to the anal papilla from which the anus opens into the mantle cavity at the posterior. Excretory nephridiopores and gonopores open laterally into the posterior quarter of the cavity. There is no penis as fertilization is external.

Habits and ecology

L. asellus lives on rocky shores at ELWS and below to 250 m (Kaas & Van Belle, 1985). Off Iceland it has been dredged from 65 to 320 m (Delongueville et al. 2024).

The articulated shell enables it to conform closely to uneven rock surfaces which the large foot grips firmly. The aragonite shell is weak and frequently broken, but the valve fragments may be held in position by strong muscles which allow the chiton to continue functioning. It has no eyes on its head but aesthetes in the valves of chitons have sensory functions.

Tufts of cilia on the surfaces of the mantle cavity and gills create aninhalant respiratory water-current entering the mantle cavity wherever the girdle is raised laterally. The current passes along the cavity through the gills to the posterior 18La flic.kr/p/2qCumcG , where faecal pellets from the anus on the anal papilla join the flow to be expelled from under the raised girdle.

L. asellus feeds by scraping microalgae and associated organisms from the rock surface using its radula of chitin hardened with magnetite. It detects suitable food by protruding between each stroke of the radula a subradular ‘tasting’ organ (Yonge & Thompson, 1976). The large anterolateral rim round the mouth 17La flic.kr/p/2qCpG3Q and the anterior of the foot probably help retain loosened food particles.

Reproduction is gonochoric. The water current in the mantle cavity carries sperm or ova from lateral gonopores to exit at the posterior. As fertilization is external, synchronised emission of sperm and ova is needed to ensure success. The ova hatch into planktonic trochophore larvae and later metamorphose into small adult-form young without an intervening veliger stage.

Distribution and status

L. asellus is the most common chiton sublittorally in the north-east Atlantic Ocean from Iceland, Spitzbergen, the Barents Sea and possibly Greenland to Galicia, Spain (Kaas & Van Belle, 1985). GBIF map www.gbif.org/species/5193785 . It is frequent offshore all around Britain with the apparent exception of the north-east of the Irish Sea. My new Project ;) wanna test ?

SOPAC 2.0 in TextMate. I've been using Vim for about 10 years now in console mode. But I really would like to start doing cut-and-paste in a real window (yes, in some ways I'm still stuck in the 1980s). Never really liking GVim or BBEdit, I've been searching around for the right editor and I think I may have found it in TextMate. It's not free ($65), but I really, really like it. I also need to learn all of its in-and-outs and I do miss Vim a little which is a familiar old friend. I kinda feel a little guilty, like I'm cheating on it.

I tasti iniziano. I tasti finiscono.

Tutto quel mondo

Quel mondo addosso che nemmeno sai dove finisce

E quanto ce n'è

Non avete mai paura, voi, di finire in mille pezzi solo a pensarla, quell'enormità, solo a pensarla? A viverla...

La voglia di scendere

La paura di farlo

Diventi matto, così

Matto."

Du alter Stachelkaks,

Du bist kein Bohnerwachs,

Kein Gewächs, das die Liebe sich pflückt,

Sondern du bist nur ein bißchen verrückt.

Du hast auch keinerlei Duft.

Aber, ohne daß du selber stinkst,

Saugst du Stubenmief ein wie Tropenluft.

Du springst niemals Menschen an oder Vieh.

Wer aber mit Absicht oder versehentlich

Sich einmal auf dich

Setzte, vergißt dich nie.

About the shot

This was taken during my last Edinburgh Zoo shoot as a non-member. Expect many more photos once I get my membership card. The Capybaras (world's largest rodent) were much more active than I'd ever seen them. After a quick dip in the water, two of them jumped about together. One was pursuing the other more enthusiastically but I wasn't sure if they were siblings playing or if it was perhaps mating/bonding behaviour. The one with its back to the wall was basically saying "go away" I think. :-)

The title comes from the new T-Mobile commercial. If you haven't seen it you must watch it. If this "flash mob" doesn't make you smile, then nothing will.

About Capybaras

Capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris), also known as capibara, chigüire in Venezuela, chigüiro, and carpincho in Spanish, and capivara in Portuguese, is the largest living rodent in the world. It is related to agouti, chinchillas, coyphillas, and guinea pigs. Its common name, derived from Kapiÿva in the Guarani language, means "master of the grasses", while its scientific name, hydrochaeris, is Greek for "water hog".

Though now extinct, there once existed a larger capybara called Neochoerus pinckneyi. Other fossil rodents that were eight times the size of modern capybaras (larger than a grizzly bear) have been informally called "capybaras" but were actually dinomyids related to the pacarana. There is also a "lesser capybara", Hydrochoerus isthmius.

Capybaras are social animals, usually found in groups, between 10 and 30 (though larger groups of up to 100 sometimes can be formed), controlled by a dominant male (who will have a prominent scent gland on his nose used for smearing his scent on the grasses in his territory.) They communicate through a combination of scent and sound, being very vocal animals with purrs and alarm barks, whistles and clicks, squeals and grunts.

Capybaras are excellent swimmers and can survive completely underwater for up to five minutes, an ability they will use to evade predators. If necessary, a Capybara can sleep underwater, keeping its nose just at the waterline. During midday, as temperatures increase, Capybaras wallow in water to keep cool and then graze in late afternoons and early evenings. They sleep little, usually dozing off and on throughout the day and grazing into and through the night.

New paint software!!! Incredible stuff for $29.99 US dollars. It is head over heal better than Corel painter--I mean significantly better! If you cannot see this in full size, I uploaded this to my website so you can see the incredible textures you can create with this software: www.stantonphotostudios.com/p602592670/h19453a4#h19453a4. This is a photo that I traced... On the picture at my website I have updated it a bit further

If you have access to shopping from amazon.com, here is the link to this software: www.amazon.com/Smith-Micro-Software-Inc-ARDHBX2/dp/B001AE...

On this picture the only textured are of interest is the center of the Calla lily where the pollen is. So if you can zoom in, go for that area. Also, this software allows you to make the clone colors metallic--which I did here for the center and some of the white. For $30, this is a fascinating piece of software if you like to paint. It has gazillions of features, many significantly better than Corel or other painter software.

Have a great day/night!

See http://www.iucnredlist.org/search/details.php/7961/all, the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. The Przewalski's Horse is extinct in the wild and only maintained through captive breeding programmes.

Here is an extract from the IUCN site regarding this species:

Equus ferus ssp. przewalskii – Extinct in the Wild

Extract from Wakefield et al. 2002, pp. 83-84: "Since the ‘rediscovery’ of the Przewalski’s Horse for western science, western zoos and wild animal parks became interested in this species for their collections. Several long expeditions were mounted to catch animals. Some expeditions came back empty handed and some had only seen a glimpse of Przewalski’s Wild Horse. It proved difficult to catch adult horses, because they were too shy and fast. Capture of foals, with possible killing of the adult harem members, was considered the only option (Bouman and Bouman 1994). Four capture expeditions that managed to catch live foals took place between 1897 and 1902. Fifty three of these foals reached the west alive. Between the 1930s and the 1940s only a few Przewalski’s Horses were caught and most died. At least one mare was crossbred with domestic horses by the Mongolian War Ministry. One mare (Orliza III), particularly through her son Bars, was of great importance to breeding in the west (Bouman and Bouman 1994).

Small groups of horses were reported through the 1940s and 1950s in an area between the Baitak-Bogdo ridge and the ridge of the Takhin-Shara-Nuru (which, translated from Mongolian, means "the Yellow Mountain of the Wild Horse), but numbers appeared to decline dramatically after World War II. A number of causes have been cited for the final extinction of Przewalski’s horses. Among these are significant cultural and political changes (Bouman and Bouman 1994), hunting (Zhao and Liang 1992, Bouman and Bouman 1994), military activities (Ryder 1993), climatic change (Sokolov et al. 1992), and competition with livestock and increasing land use pressure (Sokolov et al. 1992, Ryder 1993, Bouman and Bouman 1994). Capture expeditions probably diminished the remaining Przewalski’s Horse populations by killing and dispersing the adults (S. Dulamtseren in Van Dierendonck and de Vries 1996). The harsh winters in 1945, 1948, and 1956 probably had an additional impact on the small population (Bouman and Bouman 1994). Increased pressure on, and rarity of waterholes in their last refuge should also be considered as a significant factor contributing to their extinction (Van Dierendonck and de Vries 1996).

The last confirmed sighting in the wild was made in 1969 by the Mongolian scientist N. Dovchin. He saw a stallion near a spring called Gun Tamga, north of the Tachin-Shara-Nuru, in the Dzungarian Gobi (Paklina and Pozdnyakova 1989). Annual investigations by the Joint Mongolian-Soviet Expedition have since failed to find conclusive evidence for their survival in the wild (Ryder 1990). Chinese biologists conducted a survey in northeastern Xinjiang from 1980 to 1982 (covering the area of 88–90° E and 41°31'–47°10' N) without finding any horses (Gao and Gu 1989). The last wild populations have almost certainly disappeared."

Scanned my second and hopefully last roll of damaged Kodachrome. This is one of the less damaged shots from the roll. It is still beaten up, just like the equipment it was taken with, and the equipment behind the lens. I have one roll of Kodachrome 25 that is waiting for me to pick it up and I have three rolls of Kodachrome 64 in the fridge. Very sad that I have to say goodbye to this stellar film. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to shoot with it yet, but I know that at least one of those rolls, probably two, are going into my Leica.

I want to space those three rolls out over the next year since I am not likely to get any more of it. I want to say goodbye to Kodachrome in a dignified way. Dwayne's is stopping processing for Kodachrome on December 30th, 2010 so I have to finish before December of next year. Hopefully I can give this legendary film a send off it deserves.
