Ia merupakan sejenis tumbuhan menjalar. Ia mempunyai batang yang kecil dan keras seperti wayar.Permukaan batangnya di litupi oleh rerambut halus yang pendek dan melekit.Daunnya mempunyai 3 cabang seperti daun anggur. daunnya berbau kuat dan agak busuk jika dihancurkan. Tumbuhan ini menjalar dengan menggunakan sulur paut.Bunganya berwarna putih. Marching along Park lane next to Hyde Park, London, the Grand Lodge of England Bicentennial Parade. Certainly worth watching if you happened to pass by as I did on my way to a picnic!
After searching the web (the press seem to have ignored this march) this is what I found: To mark the 200th Anniversary of the founding of the Grand Orange Lodge of England there will be a parade through the streets of our nations capital city on Saturday 9th June 2007.
This particular section of the parade featured the Ulster Special Constabulary which was a reserve force of the Royal Ulster Constabulary.

Today I was with family for an early easter get-together/late birthday gift giving because my grandfather, aunt and I are the only ones that have birthdays at the beginning of the year and that always gets messed up. Nearly EVERYONE else's birthdays are around september, which used to make me sad as a kid because I would never get my gifts around the same time as everyone else, and I basically had to sit around when all of my cousins were getting things and be polite and shut my mouth. xD I don't mind it anymore at all (but i was a kid and i was a pouty little thing sometimes, haha!). I got more money for crafty stuff. Yay! Thank you Aunt Jane. =D
So anyway, off with that rambling. My step-grandmother took us to her "southern mansion" (as she calls it; it's more like an antique store gone wrong) to show us her reupholstering jobs. The outside is fabulous, though i totally spaced taking a decent picture. So the next few pictures will be from this place, along with the songs that have plagued me throughout the course of the day. xD
So! I found this little beauty (the necklace) on one of the walls in the place. AND I WAS ALLOWED TO KEEP IT. YAYYYY.

You only have to see the reaction of the audience to see the value of street performers. I loved the looks of surprise, delight and disgust as this street performer squeezed his whole body through the head of a tennis racquet. I think he had just dislocated his right arm to get his shoulders to fit through.

But, under the long dictatorship of Prime Minister António de Oliveira Salazar, which started in the 1930s, laws discouraged public gathering and conversation. Many restaurants closed down and the kiosks fell into disrepair and all but disappeared. That was, until Catarina Portas, a native of Lisbon, former journalist and entrepreneur stepped in.
"From the 19th to the 20th century, there were some hundred different kiosks in Lisbon. The city was full of them in different colors, different designs," says Portas. She used to take walks around the city and see these "sad, abandoned structures," she says. "I started to think, How could we bring this to our times?"
So Portas began hunting down these kiosks — some still in place but boarded up or neglected, others in storage. She teamed up with architect João Regal to restore the buildings – not just to their former glory, but to their former place of prominence in Lisbon's public spaces.
"We went to the city council with amazing photographs of the old kiosks, and we prepared all the old drinks and made them taste the drinks," Portas says. The pitch worked ---- Portas is fairly sure it was the drinks that convinced the council members. Their first three kiosks opened in 2009.
The kiosks offer affordable and traditional drinks and snacks, conversation and community – and also employment in a country struggling with the staggering levels of unemployment and recession gripping much of western Europe.

The Black Swan, Cygnus atratus is a large waterbird which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia. The Black Swan was formerly placed into a monotypic genus, Chenopis.
‘Swan’ is the common gender term, but ‘cob’ for a male and ‘pen’ for a female are also used, as is ‘cygnet’ for the young. Collective nouns include a ‘bank’ (on the ground) and a ‘wedge’ (in flight). Black Swans can be found singly, or in loose companies numbering into the hundreds or even thousands.
The Black Swan is common in the wetlands of south western and eastern Australia and adjacent coastal islands. In the south west the range ecompasses an area between North West Cape, Cape Leeuwin and Eucla; while in the east it covers are large region bounded by the Atherton Tableland, the Eyre Peninsula and Tasmania, with the Murray Darling Basin supporting very large populations of Black Swans.
The Black Swan is also very popular as an ornamental waterbird in Western Europe, especially Britain, and escapes are commonly reported. As yet the population in Britain is not considered to be self-sustaining and so the species is not afforded admission to the official British List, but the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust have recorded a maximum of nine breeding pairs in the UK in 2001, with an estimate of 43 feral birds in 2003/04 (though that is undoubtedly an under-estimate given the level of monitoring undertaken).
The black swan was a literary or artistic image, even before the discovery of Cygnus atratus. Cultural reference has been based on symbolic contrast and as a distinctive motif. The Black Swan's role in Australian heraldry and culture extends to the first founding of the colonies in the eighteenth century. It has often been equated with antipodean identity, the contrast to the white swan of the northern hemisphere indicating 'Australianess'. The black swan is featured on the flag, and is both the state and bird emblem, of Western Australia; it also appears in the Coat of Arms and other iconography of the state's institutions.
The reclaimed wetlands of the river Foix estuary have made this area into one of the main attractions of the town. The River Foix, which is dry during most of the year due to construction of the Foix Resservoir is another of the most emblematic places in Cubelles. At the Foix estuary, you can spend the day enjoying nature and birthwatching, or at one of the picnic areas. This zone is also intended for school visits, as it is a place where children can study the ecosystem of a Mediterranean river such as the Foix.
The estuary is separated from the sea by a sand barrier which has accumulated over time, due to sea currents and rainwater sediments, forming freshwater laguens behind the barrier. The natural area of the Foix Delta has a branch of land that sticks out into the sea. This was formed during the floods of 1994 and joins onto another branch, leaving an island in the middle. Tourists can visit the island by crossing a wooden footbridge.

El cisne negro, Cygnus atratus es endémico de Australia. Es común al este y oeste de este continente, no estando presente la parte árida central y del húmeda del norte. Es residente en Tasmania, criando en esta isla situada al sur de Australia.
No es migratoria pero se desplaza a grandes distancias, cientos de kilómetros, en busca de abundancia de alimento.
Introducido en Nueva Zelanda, donde se reprodujo de tal forma, que hubo que controlarlo. Actualmente existen unos 60.000 individuos.
Fue descubierto en 1697, y ha sido el favorito de los estanques ornamentales de Europa, y posteriormente de América. Pero no se ha asilvestrado en estos continentes.
Vive en lagos, incluyendo la costa marina y ocasionalmente en el mar lejos de tierra. Demuestra preferencia por los lagos pocos profundos, donde puede alcanzar la vegetación acuática del fondo, sumergiendo su cuello, aproximadamente de un metro de profundidad.
La recuperación de los espacios húmedos de la desembocadura del río Foix ha convertido la zona en una de las de mayor atractivo del municipio. El río Foix -que desde la construcción del pantano del Foix está la mayor parte del año seco- es otro de los elementos más emblemáticos de los cubellenses. En la desembocadura del Foix, además de poder pasar un día rodeado de la Naturaleza, se puede observar el comportamiento de las aves autóctonas de esta zona o disfrutar de las áreas de picnic. Su desembocadura está separada del mar por una barrera de arena acumulada por las corrientes marítimas y los depósitos pluviales, formando lagunas de agua dulce en su interior. El Espacio Natural del Delta del Foix, mantiene el brazo de salida al mar que se formó por las riadas de 1994, a la que se ha añadido un segundo brazo dejando una isla en el medio, conectada con la zona de entretenimiento a través de unas pasarelas de madera. Otra pasarela de madera sobre uno de los brazos del río, sirve de punto de observación del desarrollo natural de la desembocadura del Foix.

This 19th century cottage was recommended for local heritage listing in the City of Campbelltown Heritage Survey 1996. Council did not undertake the registration process for this cottage and for other places recommended in the survey. The cottage was demolished some time between approximately 2006 and 2008. The last few years have seen several of the handful of remaining old cottages and houses demolished in the Athelstone area. It is a pity I didn't get a better photo with a proper camera. Timber framed two roomed cottage clad with corrugated iron with pressed metal to front wall. Hipped corrugated iron roof with brick chimney. Bullnosed verandah on simple timber posts. Leanto addition to rear.
Statement of heritage value
Of simple timber framed and iron construction, this house was originally the residence for a market garden. Subsequently owned by labourers, gardeners and farmers, the house represents the horticultural and agricultural development of the area in the early part of this century.
Relevant criteria (under section 23(4) of the Development Act 1993)
(a) it displays historical, economic or social themes that are of importance to the local area.
(b) it represents customs or ways of life that are characteristic of the local area.
(c) it displays aesthetic merit, design characteristics or construction techniques of significance to the local area.
History
It is likely that this house ws built by John Russell, a farmer, who owned a property of over nine acres in 1893. The house remained in Russell's ownership until his death in August 1918. In December of that year the property was sold to Isabella Marchant. On 27 October 1919 Alfred Amber (the elder), a gardener, paid £210 for the property which then comprised seven acres.
In October 1923 the property was transferred to Arthur Amber (jun). Several people owned the house in the following years, including B.L. Hockley, a labourer, J. Crocker, poultry farmer, and D.M. Amber, a carter. In July 1957 the house was bought by Victor R. Cramer, a gardener, who sold it to Avis M. Hill in 1965. Claude T. Bennett, an accountant, owned the house between 1966 and 1976.

Despertar os sentidos
A concepção do jardim assenta na especificidade da maioria dos seus criadores e na dos destinatários: é um jardim feito por crianças a pensar nas crianças.
A melhor forma encontrada para abordar o tema dos sentidos de um prisma essencialmente infantil baseou-se num desenho da Laura, na altura com 4 anos. Considerando que o rosto humano encerra em si a quase totalidade das janelas para os sentidos, e que é no rosto que temos os órgãos receptores de uma série de estímulos, foi também opção dos autores conceber a exploração do espaço de jardim num duplo propósito: o esteticamente aprazível tem de conviver com o ludicamente atractivo.
É sugerido ao visitante um percurso que também encerra uma dupla valência. Ao mesmo tempo que se exploram os espaços do jardim, é dada a primazia ao sentido que o rosto recebe mas não protagoniza. Com efeito, ao propor aos visitantes que se descalcem, os criadores remetem ao longo de todo o jardim para o tacto. É a pé e com os pés que se deve usufruir do espaço, experimentando as várias texturas.
Quanto aos outros sentidos, as propostas são variadas: a simulação de um lago no lugar da boca como ilustração da metáfora “água na boca”; os instrumentos musicais como a vocalarpa ou o tubobidonofone (este no local de uma das orelhas “forrado” por canas que emitem sons com o soprar do vento); a instalação da audeólica, os últimos para ilustrarem a audição. Na visão, os canteiros em forma de olhos e o apelo às mais variadas sugestões cromáticas nas variações de piso, nas cores da vegetação com tanto de mimético como de metafórico, ou através de vários artifícios, como as garrafas e as mangueiras pintadas no local dos cabelos, são alguns dos pontos a destacar. No que respeita ao olfacto, inevitavelmente centrado no nariz, são os odores florais e de plantas aromáticas que detêm a primazia.
Para além da ilustração dos sentidos, a sugestão do percurso não se pretende meramente contemplativa. Foram criadas áreas de lazer para o público infantil, onde para além dos instrumentos musicais, o visitante poderá encontrar um espaço de leitura, a VocaBolaRis, e outro para brincar. Este último inclui, na orelha esquerda do rosto, a espiralbola, ilustrativa da vertigem do tímpano. Ao lado, todos poderão jogar à macaca, numa área concebida e pensada para o efeito.

Tra i principali vantaggi percepiti dell'SMS, alla base della straordinaria diffusione di questo servizio come sistema di comunicazione, c'è il basso costo rispetto ad una lunga telefonata (vantaggio in realtà spesso inesistente, perché una conversazione via SMS è costituita da più sms a distanza di tempo, l'uno in risposta all'altro) e la possibilità di rendere la comunicazione asincrona, cioè di leggere il messaggio in un qualsiasi momento successivo alla ricezione; l'SMS è inoltre particolarmente diffuso per inviare auguri in caso di ricorrenze (grazie alla comodità di inviarne automaticamente a più destinatari) o per altri tipi di approcci relazionali, in quanto mezzo particolarmente discreto e quindi più agevole da gestire soprattutto per le persone più timide.
Il primo SMS della storia è stato inviato il 3 dicembre 1992 da un computer ad un cellulare sulla rete GSM Vodafone inglese e il testo del messaggio era "MERRY CHRISTMAS". Il primo SMS da cellulare a cellulare invece venne inviato all'inizio del 1993 da uno stagista della Nokia.

Rupit and Pruit (in Catalan Rupit i Pruit) are a municipality of the region of Osona located to the northeast of the region and the east of the Sierra de Cabrera. It is integrated by two urban nuclei: Rupit and Pruit, that they were independent until year 1980. It is the last town of the province of Barcelona in the highway that unites the municipalities of Vic, capital of the region of Osona and Olot, capital of the region of the Garrotxa (Girona).
The origin of the town we found in the castle that was constructed around year 1000, replacing the one of Fàbregues, where they went constructing houses around.
In 14th century the population underwent a reduction but it recovered, arriving in 17th and 18th centuries at the maximum splendor that has never had the town. The church was possibly built between 13th and 14th centuries, and it was dedicated to San Miguel Arcángel.
Pruit already names in year 955, when it belonged to viscounts of Osona. Always there is been united to the castle and jurisdiction of Rupit.

About the Artist -
Statement
Alejandro Diaz is originally from San Antonio, where he developed a provocative and pertinent body of work exemplifying the complex and visually rich cultural milieu particular to South Texas and Mexico. He has lived in Mexico City, and is currently based in New York City.
Diaz is well-known for his conceptual, recurrent use of everyday materials; his humor infused politics; and his ongoing involvement with art as a form of entertainment, activism, public intervention, and free enterprise. He began making and selling his cardboard signs, “Mexican Wallpaper”, on the streets of Manhattan in the late 90s. More recently, he has translated them into a compelling series of colorful neon signs. Some of Diaz’ recent projects include a commission to create large-scale outdoor sculptures for the Public Art Fund (2005), New York’s premier presenter of public art, now part of the permanent public art collection of the City of San Antonio, on display at the San Antonio International Airport, and a public art commission for the Havana Biennial (2003). He is currently in a group exhibition at LACMA which will travel to Mexico City, San Antonio, New York, and Houston (2008-2010), and is currently in a solo exhibition at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum (2009). Most recently, he received the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award for excellence in the visual arts in 2008. Diaz has had numerous solo exhibitions, including his first at Jessica Murray Projects, NY. He has lectured on his work at the Whitney Museum of American Art and at the Drawing Center, NY.

Yesterday I saw this modest Ferrari, parked tight between other cars, and at first I wasn't that creative with taking pictures of it.
So, I've tried to do something different from what I use to do here.
The car was quite dirty, had lost some of its shine and had a dent just before its front wheel.
The light was actually quite nice though, so I thought this shot fitted the car very well.
The Ferrari 328 GTS is the targa version of the fixed roof 328 GTB.
The GTB referred to the Gran Turismo Berlinetta (coupé) body while the GTS was a Gran Turismo Spider (targa top).
The 328 GTS and GTB were the final developments of the normally aspirated transverse V8 engine 2 seat series.
The 328 figures in the model title referred to the total cubic capacity of the engine, 3.2 litres, and 8 for the number of cylinders. The new model was introduced at the 1985 Frankfurt Salon alongside the Mondial 3.2 series.

Kalkan (Greek: Kalamaki) is a town on the Turkish Mediterranean coast, which averages 300 days of sunshine a year. The area includes many historical sites and many fine beaches. The word Kalkan is Turkish for 'shield'. Kalkan is an old fishing town, and the only safe harbor between Kaş and Fethiye; it is famous for its white-washed houses, descending to the sea, and its brightly colored bougainvilleas. Until the early 1920s the majority of its inhabitants were Greeks. They had to leave the town in 1923 because of the Exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey after the Greco-Turkish War. They emigrated mainly to Attica, where they founded the new town of Kalamaki. With much of the surrounding land still undeveloped and with many nearby remains of ancient civilizations, Kalkan is the ideal resort[citation needed] for those who want calm and relaxation, enjoying the natural beauty of the cleanest seashores and of rough mountains covered with pine forests, and also for those who want to explore the remains of the ancient Lycian cities in the neighborhood. Lycia, "The Land of Light", which is the first known federation in history, included the many city-states between modern-day Fethiye and Antalya, and its capital was Xanthos (Arna in Lycian language), which is Kinik today, 17 km (11 mi) from Kalkan. Kalkan was an important harbour town until the 1970s as the only seaport for the environs. It declined after construction of Fethiye road but revived after the emergence of the tourism industry in the region. Although part of the Antalya province administratively, Kalkan is connected more closely to Fethiye economically and for transportation. British newspaper The Independent listed Kalkan among the best tourist destinations for 2007. The paper recommended Kalkan especially for those seeking a romantic vacation and who do not want to travel far from their home country in Europe, and defined the town as a destination of choice.

See 'toysoldiers' On Black!
These were (some of) the toy soldiers and dinkey toy army vehicles I played with when I was a little boy in the fifties. The bulk of my collection I found as a "get well" present upon my return from the hospital in 1956/57 when I had my tonsils removed.
I loved playing with them, especially together with a brother or a friend. The most fun was in the preparation: first the taking turns whose army got what (you the big tank, then I the big canon, etc...). After that the preparation of the battlefield; which 'divisions' went were, where were the 'spies' located, the headquarters, how did the roads go, etc. Sometimes we used big pillows to simulate mountainous terrain or designated part of the floor to be the ocean...
When all was done and the battle could really start, the game was usually over pretty fast. Not much fun to see who won, I guess...
Nowadays quite a few of the cars and soldiers are lying hidden in a box in the attick. Not all unfortunately (for instance, the 'big tank' is missing), some got lost when I loaned them to the young sons of a friend of mine (even that is now a couple of decades ago...). Well, I never did that again!
When I first started getting into photography, around 1971/1972, I once re-enacted my childhood play and see here the result.

Ahora entiendo por qué me despellejaba tanto y me decían:

- Eso es de los flash congelados esos que te tomas niño, que tienen mucha "fuchina".
- Mamá, la lengua vale... ¿pero la piel también?
- ¡Hombreee, pos clarooo..!
Y así fueron capeando la situación hasta que descubrí la cruda realidad de mis orígenes; el por qué de mi forma de ser antisocial, esos antojos de ratones al chilindrón con berberechos a las 4 a.m. y de mis ansias de acabar con toda la raza humana...
Pero tranquilos, esfínteres relajados... porque aunque para mí sería muy fácil destruir vuestra inferior forma de vida con mi blaster de bolsillo, durante estos años he aprendido a amar cosas tan mundanas como las alpargatas de jubilado en invierno, los paseos al atardecer en bicicleta, el Santa Teresa con Coca-Cola, el pan tostao con foie-gras y todos los grandes éxitos de Camela...

According to Wikipedia:
Postman's Park is a small green memorial garden in the City of London. It is located between King Edward Street, Little Britain and Angel Street. It was created in 1880 from the churchyards of St Leonard, Foster Lane and St Botolph-without-Aldersgate together with the graveyard of Christ Church Greyfriars. St Leonard's had been a ruin since the Great Fire and was probably demolished at the time of the creation of the park. St Botolph's is still open and stands at the north east corner of the park. Christ Church was detached from its graveyard and is now a ruin on the other side of King Edward Street.
The park was the idea of the painter George Frederick Watts who wanted to celebrate people who may otherwise have been forgotten. Its name celebrates the postmen who work in the principal London post office and the former sorting office in King Edward Street.
A wall in the park has 34 hand-painted tiles paying tribute to everyday people who sacrificed their lives helping others. The hand-lettered tiles were made by Royal Doulton.
The park features in the film Closer - Natalie Portman's character takes her pseudonym 'Alice Ayres' from one of the painted tiles, as Jude Law's character discovers at the end of the film.

Made in the Bilibid Prison which, from the early American colonial period until the end of the first half of the 20th century, manufactured high quality household and office furniture as part of its program to rehabilitate prisoners in preparation for their reintegration into mainstream society. Their outputs were arguably unrivaled in terms of craftsmanship, design and prolificity.
A rare 12-sided top, made of solid one-piece narra wood, framed by precious kamagong wood carved around the edges with acanthus gadrooning. To harvest wood with a girth this size - over 7 feet across when finished - the felled giant tree must be well over a hundred years old. Each conforming side of the frieze is carved with foliated scrolls centering an anthemion flower inscribed with C-volute. The heavy base is made of two crossed curule seat-shaped legs carved with foliated scrolls bordered by broad kamagong inlays, and undulate with winged rosettes, connected to a huge, turned central cylinder with flutings surmounted by scrolled arches and a finial. The lion’s paws with winged extensions embody immense strength and power.
Overall, the workmanship is quite remarkable, displaying great detailed carvings and decorations alluding to the Italian Neoclassical style that was popular in the early 19th century. A classic, timeless statement piece that will surely draw exclamations of surprise and admiration. Found in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

I got to spend the day with my dearest and closest friend Kristen, who I only get to see maybe twice a year now. She is off in Waterloo getting all smart to become an optometrist, and when she came back for the holidays, I knew we had to try and shoot something.
I had figured doing some christmas light bokeh with my 135 f|2, but Kristen suggested that we drive out to Kananaskis and shoot near the upper and lower lakes. It was a perfectly clear day when we were driving out there and we had tried to plan it around the sunset, but when we arrived, the sky was fairly cloudy, and it was as if the sunset didn't even happen. It was light and then it got dark. WTF?
So we tried to make the best of it and for the second day in a row, my pocket wizards kept failing! Out of 80 shots, only 32 triggered the flash. I had worked out that it wasn't the recycle time, or the pc sync cables. I had to be within 10' and I could only shoot horizontal, as soon as I tried to shoot in vertical it would not trigger! I need to try some tests in a controlled environment to figure out what the hell is going on.
She was really good to stand there while I was pulling my hair out trying to get it going, but I could tell she was getting really cold so we packed it in. Maybe we will get to try again when she is back in the summer.
Was initially interested in this scene because of the looming factory background which seemed to envelop the house.

This is a pic I took last year of a work some friends and I made at one of ours university assingments... the idea was to preserve the image and colours of sushi but change completely his flavour ... so, we made sweet sushi of different kinds of candy available in our country.... =)
Esta foto la tome el año pasado, es de uno de los trabajos que nos dieron como tarea de uno de nuestros cursos universitarios... la idea era preservar la imagen y el color del sushi pero cambiar completamente su sabor... asi que hicimos sushi dulce, hecho a partir de distintas golosinas disponibles en nuestro pais... =)
