After finishing her second stop for checked baggage, Amtrak’s northbound Floridian No. 40 is roughly an hour behind schedule as she departs Raleigh on an unusually cool summer morning and continues onward to her next stop at Rocky Mount with one of only a handful of the AMTK ALC-42’s wearing Phase VI colors leading the way to Chicago.
