Pals of the privies came together to watch Phase One of their plans to turn three areas of Glencoat`s Park into play areas for the children and teenagers alike.
Today the old swing park came down and over the new few weeks, we will see it up and running for the younger children to play and love for many years to come..

Phase II build-out at the South Germantown Bike Park. 118 volunteer hours in 3 days to get the beginner and intermediate lines open and running before the 2014 MoCo Epic.
With the addition of the engine and transmission, phase one of the project is now complete. The next step is to get the chassis outside and bring the body in for metal and body work, then paint, before mating the body and chassis back together
The four new remote-controlled, ship-to-shore (STS) cranes are among the largest in the world, with an 82-metre outreach. These dual STS cranes can handle cargo vessels of 26 containers in width (or up to 24 000 TEU container capacity). “This will significantly increase the capacity and turnaround efficiency of terminal operations, enabling better service to customers and improving overall customer experience through more efficient operations,” explains Keld Pedersen, Head of APM Terminals West Med Terminals.
When things come full circle, I’ve learned they have lasting inspirations. In the 80s, my host sister studied abroad in Ohio, where she learned Phase 10. She brought back a deck to her small rural Costa Rican hometown and Phase 10 quickly became an enjoyable pastime. My host dad and I played Phase 10 several nights a week. For over 30 years my host family used the same Phase 10 deck. One of the most memorable games was when my parents came to visit, brought my host family a new deck, and my two dads played together.

At the end of the autumn term, parents and carers of phase two children were invited to see work produced for the Winter exhibition. Year three presented their responses to the climate crisis; year four produced a museum exhibition showcasing their investigations into ancient Egypt; year five showed off vehicles produced as part of their 'How high, how far, how fast?’ project; year six took up residency in The Clipper on Union Street to respond to the question: ‘What does community mean to us?’ This fantastic event was really well attended and the children really enjoyed showing off the results of their learning through the term. A big thank you to all involved!
