It's 1:35 A.M. You've just grabbed a handful of goldfish from the kitchen and are now making your way back to your room. You hear a noise, and turn around. You see nothing but inky darkness. You turn your head back around and, covered in swirls of darkness, is the Phantom of the Midnight Hallway. Reaching out with invisible limbs and floating menacingly above your doorway.
To create this photo I threw a white bedsheet at my cousin and said "Go stand on that chair and be scary." And it worked. It only took one photo and a lot of editing in both Lightroom and Photoshop. I did manage to darken the floor in the photo to hide most of the chair, but I had to edit out her feet and hands and some of the chair. I chose this photo because I'm proud of the work I did and I love the end result.

Not the best picture of the bunch, but I can hardly get a wing dip from the active-duty F-18 guys at Willie, so when I got one from an F-4 - well, it could have been a total crap shot and I still would have posted it. (Winds were ridiculous that day, and I was panning against them - once my lens hood was perpendicular to the direction of the wind, it was a struggle to keep anything in frame due to the winds).

Upon the first bite, an eerily familiar phantom flavor haunts you with memories of a comforting pumpkin pie from your yesteryears. A familiarity tainted with a sense of wrongness. This pie was light, spicy, refreshing, cold, and firm to the touch. A ghost of that sweet, rich, and creamy dessert you had wistfully recalled.
How many of those pies from your past had you devoured inconsiderately? Never truly appreciating that slice of heaven until it was gone?
So many questions piling up like dirty dishes in the sink.
Yours is spotlessly clean.
When did you polish off that pie?
Had there been any there to begin with?
All you’re left with is a fleeting phantom flavor on your taste buds and pumpkin spice nostalgia.

Agar-agar powder, water, sugar, imitation pumpkin spice extract, and clear imitation vanilla extract was used to create the pie’s filling.
Pumpkin spice yogurt, butter, water, and all-purpose flour was used to make the thick pie crust.
The crust was blind baked, cooled, decorated with orange-colored icing, filled with the agar-agar mixture, then allowed to set in the refrigerator until firm. Sliced and served with scoops of Ben & Jerry's® Pumpkin Cheesecake ice cream, whipped cream, and a sprinkle of M&M's® White Pumpkin Pie candies.
(Unlike the original from Alinea, which reportedly has the consistency of a delicate mizu shingen mochi, this version is firmer.)

You see so many shots of planes head on so I was trying to find a new perspective. I ended up going with this over the wing shot looking back at the cockpit.
