Cucumber Beetle on a flower petal

Macro taken of a candle holder that is made of shells, in the shape of a locus flower. It's really pretty, and I like how abstract this shot came out. :)
Note: All I did was add a bit more contrast to it in Paint Shop Pro, since the lighting was poor when I took it. Otherwise it's all natural.
This is the rubber mat outside our front door. It has holes in it through which you can see the tarmac drive underneath. I took the photo because the petals that had landed in the holes reminded me ofthe game Connect 4. But in this picture it looks as if the tarmac is closer to you than the rubber! In real life I don't see that illusion.

First day up in Pennsylvania! Walked around this really cute little town and tours of the college were the next day. Oh, the Bed & Breakfast my mom and I stayed in was a really old house and our room was called "The Rose Room" - walls and ceiling covered in rosy wallpaper!

The tulip - again. This time a single petal also processed with photomatix and the tone compression option to bring out the colors in the petal.
Can anyone help me: is this Gladiolus communis (cornflag)? This gorgeous flower deserves a proper ID!
