New in May 2016 to First Leeds, this bus was best known for working the 72 route to Leeds via Stanningley in Bradford.
After 2 years, 35223 transferred to First Bradford in late 2018 but was continuing to work Route 72 to Leeds.
Since 2021, it was permanently working Bradford services such as Route 607, Route 613/614, Route 617/618, Route 620/621, Route 622, Route 626, Route 636/637 and Route 640/641.
It was seen operating a Staff Bus service.

On Tuesday, September 30 GlaxoSmithKline presented Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with a $1 million gift. This donation will be matched by Children’s Hospital to create the GlaxoSmithKline Hope for Families Fund, a permanent endowment that will help children and young adults with relapsed cancers gain access to innovative new therapies at the Hospital. Specifically, the fund will provide assistance to patients from low-income or needy families for travel and living expenses they may incur while receiving care at Children’s Hospital.
“We are thrilled and honored to be able to ease the financial burden for children and families who need the extraordinary care that Children’s Hospital provides,” said Dan Phelan, chief of staff, GlaxoSmithKline. “Improving the lives of people around the world is at the heart of our work at GlaxoSmithKline. The combined efforts of developing innovative medicines and vaccines alongside our work with communities can have a genuine impact on society. We are excited to work with Children’s Hospital to help patients receive the care they need.”
The Cancer Center at Children’s Hospital is dedicated to eradicating childhood cancer through a bench-to-bedside program of discovery translated into new therapies. Currently, the program provides care to patients from across the nation and around world. Often children and family members need to stay for days, weeks and sometimes months to receive treatment.
“We are extremely grateful to GlaxoSmithKline for this remarkable donation,” said Steven M. Altschuler, M.D., president and chief executive officer of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. “Corporate philanthropy is critical to furthering our mission to provide the very best family-centered care possible. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family is affected, and often consumed with emotional, logistical and economic stress. This fund will help to ease the financial burdens these families face, and allow them to focus on the health of their child.”
“As our portfolio of new drugs for childhood cancer grew, we became concerned about the financial burden placed on families traveling to Children’s Hospital,” explained John M. Maris, M.D., acting chief of the Division of Oncology and director of the Center for Childhood Cancer Research at Children’s Hospital. “Some might decide to forgo treatment because of limited financial ability. The Hope for Families Fund will allow all children with relapsed cancers to access Children’s Hospital’s services, regardless of their families’ financial means.”
The Hope for Families Fund will benefit needy children facing the most difficult-to-cure cancers. The fund will reimburse travel expenses including gas, plane tickets, taxi fares, and provide food vouchers, hotels and other necessary travel expenditures for the patient and a parent or family member. A special committee will select the families that will benefit from the fund based on those demonstrating the most pressing financial need.
The Cancer Center at Children’s Hospital aims to provide the most skilled, compassionate care available. State-of-the-art facilities enable the Cancer Center to offer comprehensive, family-centered care from more than 40 nationally and internationally renowned pediatric oncologists. Their combined expertise spans every major form of childhood cancer. Each year, the Cancer Center treats 500 new patients and follows more than 4,000 patients, making the program one of the largest pediatric cancer programs in the world. Recently, the program has focused heavily on developing new drugs for childhood cancer, and the national referral-basis for these unique clinical trials led to the need for a program such as the Hope for Families Fund. Therefore with the help of GlaxoSmithKline, Children’s Hospital is moving one step closer to insuring all children with cancer are provided the best possible care.
The Cancer Center at Children’s Hospital is a Phase I institution and leader within the Children’s Oncology Group. Working with other elite institutions in this collaborative group, as well as with several other cooperative networks, enables Children’s Hospital researchers to fast-track novel therapies that require testing in children. Perhaps even more importantly, there is a broad laboratory and gene-hunting program at Children’s Hospital that is discovering the new therapies that are now making their way to the clinic. A commitment to advancing treatment begins with basic and translational research. The Center’s leadership role within Children’s Oncology Group allows them to offer cutting-edge treatment not available at other institutions from the pediatric oncology experts who translate basic science into these new treatments.

This ceramic disk is the sixth of seven lining the wall of the Passage. This middle to late Proto-Historic period design represents SO-LE-GE-I, or Winged Serpent, who flew down from the sky. He was the source of ancient wisdom and traditional teachings for the Cherokees. The motif was used during the times of cross-cultural exchange and signifies the return to traditional customs to stop the loss of ancient knowledge and more tribal lands.

Trabajos realizados por Regeneracio Forestal S.L. en el sellado de vertedero y creación del Parque Forestal de Valdemingomez (Madrid). Colocación de redes orgánicas de Yute por personal de REFOR S.L. para la fijación de taludes y sobre las cuales se realizara la hidrosiembra, estas redes que tienen una permanencia sobre el terreno de aproximadamente dos años ayudaran a mantenerse el terreno reduciendo la erosión del mismo y favoreciendo la sujeción de la hidrosiembra hasta que las semillas germinen y la vegetación se fije al terreno.

Las áreas inclinadas son propensas a la erosión a medida que el agua frecuentemente se mueve pendiente abajo, lavando suelos y vegetación. Para controlar adecuadamente la erosión REFOR S.L. utiliza varias opciones de mantas, mayas o redes orgánicas que pueden ser compuestas por yute, paja, heno, coco, esparto, paja de arroz … dependiendo de las características del terreno donde se colocaran y de las exigencias técnicas de la obra. Estas redes o mantas ayudan a obstruir el flujo de agua y mejorar el ambiente del suelo. Todos estos componentes son materiales naturales y biodegradables, por lo que son ecológicos y se descomponen con el tiempo. Todos ellos, cubren laderas empinadas y pequeñas pero perturbadas. Son combinadas sus instalaciones con las hidrosiembras realizadas por los equipos de trabajo de Regeneracio Forestal S.L. con lo que se facilita la instalación rápida de la vegetación sobre el terreno con la fijación del mismo y la disminución de las escorrentías reduciendo la erosión.
MANTAS ORGANICAS
Las mantas orgánicas son elaboradas con distintos elementos orgánicos : paja, heno, yute, esparto, paja de arroz, coco … y se utilizan unas u otras dependiendo de las características del terreno en que se instalaran y de las exigencias técnicas de los proyectos.
Las mantas orgánicas son utilizadas para el control de la erosión, las partículas del suelo quedan retenidas entre los huecos de sus componentes, uniéndose a sus fibras durante su descomposición. Mejora la conservación del suelo y de las plantas, disminuyendo los daños por sequias o lluvias torrenciales.
Las funciones de las mantas orgánicas son:
-Aumentar la rugosidad del terreno.
-Disminuir la velocidad del flujo.
-Facilitar la infiltración del agua en el terreno con lo que se aprovechan mas las precipitaciones o aportaciones extras.
-Aminorar la escorrentía de agua sobre el terreno.
-Actúa como acolchado vegetal que se fija e incorpora al suelo aportando materia orgánica al suelo pasado un tiempo.
-Regula la temperatura del suelo reduciendo su exposición al frio y al calor, protegiendo las semillas procedentes de la hidrosiembra y facilitando la germinación.
-Disminuye la evaporación de agua retenida.
-Aumenta la actividad microbiana y de intercambio cationico.
-Favorece la implantación de la vegetación.
REDES O MAYAS ORGANICAS
Las redes o mayas orgánicas son elaboradas con distintos elementos orgánicos : paja, yute, coco … y se utilizan unas o otras dependiendo de las características del terreno en que se instalaran y de las exigencias técnicas de los proyectos.
Las funciones de las mayas o redes orgánicas son:
-Ayudan a sujetar o reforzar los suelos con problemas de erosión en suelos granulares de pendientes acusadas.
-Disminuyen la energía cinética producida por la partícula erosiva de las gotas de agua, copos de nieve o acción del viento.
-Aumentan la capacidad de campo o retención de agua por el suelo, disminuyendo la perdida de agua por escorrentía y evaporación.
-Regula la temperatura del suelo reduciendo su exposición al frio y el calor, protegiendo las semillas aportadas por la hidrosiembra y facilitando su germinación.
-Son materia orgánica que se incorpora al suelo.
-Facilita la implantación de la vegetación.
Each permanent military command was required to have a physician. The Post Surgeon was allowed these rather spacious accommodations because patients were treated and surgery was performed here.
The Post Hospital was located at the northeast corner of the parade grounds and was operated by the hospital matron. It was used strictly for quarantine and convalescence.
Many of the physicians serving at Fort Verde achieved recognition as natural scientists. Doctors Mearns, Coues, and Palmer were but a few surgeons who made outstanding contributions to ornithology, botany, and archeology during the service.

Workers prepare a container with transuranic waste for shipment to the Idaho Nuclear Technology and Engineering Center.
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act workers successfully transferred 21 containers of transuranic waste — each weighing up to 15 tons — to a facility for repackaging and shipment to a permanent disposal location.
With the help of nearly $90 million from the Recovery Act, the workers recently completed the ninth and final shipment of the containers from the Materials and Fuels Complex to the Idaho Nuclear Technology and Engineering Center (INTEC).

William estava a beira do desespero, e não podia comprar mais... “remédio” pra mim, pois todo o stock havia sido comprado por um inimigo que estávamos enfrentando. Na época... em meio ao desespero e amor por uma pessoa, a pedi em casamento, e ela aceitou. Foi um ato muito nobre da parte dela, pois sabia que seu amor me dava forças para continuar em frente.

James: Adoro ir a cafés. Gosto do aroma que esses lugares possuem.

Bristol on the River Update: 2-5-2018. Deb Micola of the Pay It Forward Foundation of Michiana was the guest speaker at the February 5, 2018 meeting of Bristol On the River (BOTR) at the Bristol Library. She came to share information about bringing the Santa Stroll on Sat. Dec. 8, 2018 to partner with BOTR. She had already met with the Town Council who agreed with the proposal. Both the Bristol Police and Fire Departments agreed to help with the event. The entry fee will be $25 per person and will include a T-Shirt, medal and breakfast. There was discussion about the various arrangements and exact route for the stroll which will be finalized and presented to the group as details are in place. BOTR President Cathleen Beachy advised that they plan to complete the application for submission to Indiana Main Street by April, 2018. The next meeting of BOTR will be on Monday March 5, 2018 at 6pm at the Bristol Library. Public is welcome. Saturday Dec. 5, 2018 will also be the date of the decorating and lighting of the Town Christmas tree in the Memorial Park in downtown Bristol. The group plans to provide a permanent tree in the park for this event.
