These were my grandmother's, I'm guessing from the 1950s or 1960s. Have had this box with some unused pegs sitting around for years.
I believe the pegs were made in Tasmania (Australia) with sassafras wood. There seems to have been quite an industry of peg making in Tasmania back then.

I took a similar shot back in 2017 and again in jan 2022, more clothes pegs then but no rain today Taken by the river Wye in Cheedale. Same clothes line with new pegs.
Yes it's finally happened, the moment I've been dreading... This photo has been infiltrated by a washing basket and some clothes pegs. This photo was taken after I returned from the pub on Thursday night. This is one of two new dresses I'd bought earlier in the week. Not sure when I shall model the second as currently in full eczema flare up mode. However back to more important issues the washing basket is still in the same place in the kitchen (yes I am that idle) but the pegs have since disappeared...
