Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate clothes pegs (or clothespins if you are in Canada… I had to do a Google search for the theme) at Looking close on Friday.
I had those tiny clothes pegs or clothespins forever, so it is a perfect time to use them in a picture. As a laundry expert (or so I like to think), clothes pegs should have no secrets for me… Unfortunately most of the time I use a dryer so my clothes pegs are rather useless now… But I really loved the colors of those tiny clothes pegs so I bought them… The tiny red clothespin is about 3cm and the other very old one is a normal size clothespin.
I hope you will like it !! See you later my friends !!
Mucho, mucho amor for you all !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!
While standing still in a traffic jam with our van, I made this clothes peg in love for Smile on Saturday
Maybe you like it ...or maybe not ;-)

Plenty of semaphore and locomotive assets on display at Peak Forest in this shot which hasn't previously seen the light of day.
The camera time says 5.12am but, given a more relaxed approach about changing it back then, it might just be an hour later. Either way it was pretty early and the morning mist still hadn't lifted.
I didn't ID the number of the Shed disappearing towards Great Rocks but one of the two Tugs in the frame is 60010, and the Shed at far right is 66009.
The signalman can be seen standing in the box, probably waiting to throw the levers back.
Commenting off, thanks.

It's been a long time since these pegs were last used. .The last time I photographed them was in May 2017 but not from this PoV.

There’s something deeply transformative about watching the sun gently touch the dunes, as if time slows down to remind us of what truly matters. Every grain of sand holds the memory of ancient winds, movements beyond our control yet shaping us all the same. In this open space, we’re invited to quiet our minds and feel the weight of our footprints, knowing they’ll soon disappear. Life, much like the dunes, is shaped by the unexpected and the fleeting. And maybe that’s what makes it so beautiful: the fact that everything is temporary, but, for a brief moment, entirely ours.
I have my washing on a clothes horse indoors as weather is unpredictable. Mind you it was lovely yesterday and beautiful sunshine streaming into my kitchen. I couldn’t resist this shot as the green of the peg was illuminated by the sun.
MM the small peg is just 4cm long the smaller peg is 3cm long total of both pegs in the shot is 6.3cm.
Saw these on a frame over a large flower tub in a garden .....?
Better viewed large and than k you for your favourites.

On close examination of several pics from this encounter, it appears that this young male has an old injury to it's right leg
The curlew is a bird which is highly skilled in avoiding yours truly.
So it was a nice surprise to get a very close encounter, with the bird happily chattering away without concern.
Numbers of this stunning bird are sadly on the decline, so it was nice to see them doing well locally.
The Eurasian Curlew is classified as Near Threatened on the global IUCN Red List. In the UK, it is on the Red List of Birds of Conservation Concern—the highest conservation priority. The UK breeding population is suffering severe declines, with extinction predicted in Wales by the early 2030s without intervention.
