pearlescent. The dorsal and anal fins are yellow; caudal fin white. Max. length: 18 cm (7 in).

Me, circa 1979, with a new Fender Fretless Precision Bass. Taken at Guitar World (might have still been Ax-In-Hand) on Broadway in Normal, IL. In the background is (L-R) a Gibson ES-335, a Gibson Les Paul Artisian, a Washburn Explorer-type, a Gibson ES-347, a Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary model, and a Fender 25th Anniversary Stratocaster with the original pearlescent white finish.

You can see the slight silver tone of the wall. They hot spot in the upper area shows that it has slight retroreflective qualities.

You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween page, project or card using this sketch:
Yep, this is a new challenge for us here at HDH! Interpret the sketch as you like... maybe the the blood drips actually become crinkled ribbon, the skull a scalloped circle & the scythe a stick pin... endless possibilities, baby.
I went a little cute on this one... made a Postcard.
My 3rd son picked out the Bugs & Hisses Logo and 'told' me to use that.
So this one's for him!
It's hard to see in the picture but the white is all Lumiere so pearlescent (if that's a word? lol) and shimmery, but sheer.
The balloons behind the Logo are rub-ons I then colored in.
Cross strip and EEEEEK!!! are stickers, stars are glittered chipboard embellies.
A poster I made for a show of ours a while back. Pearlescent Yellow Ochre & black on off white paper.

I created this baby shower card for a friend who is expecting her first baby. I white embossed the carriage image on watercolour paper and then created the pastel background using pearlescent watercolours. I added some diy enamel dots and finished it off with a doily. I am submitting this card to www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-... ,http://vervestamps.blogspot.co.nz/p/inspiration-challenge.html and www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=1893

This 1935-1938 Parker Vacumatic fountain pen, possibly the "Slender" model, in laminated green emerald DuPont pearlescent celluloid, was a gift from Peter Beck, restored per advice by the Fountain Pen Shop's Fred P. Krinke. Stuart Hawkinson replaced the missing "jewel": the laminated celluloid cone secured by the metal "tassie ring" at the end of the barrel. Greg Minuskin re-tipped the broken nib, and completed restoration: installing a new diaphragm (part of the filling mechanism), polishing the cap and barrel, and re-plating the nib in the original two-tone pattern.
The pen is filled with Noodler's Ink Legal Lapis permanent ink, and shown here with a Seven Seas "Standard" A5 blank journal, thread-bound of Tomoe River paper, from Nanami Paper; "artisanal filler text" is by Hipster Ipsum.
The fender does not match the pearlescent factory paint on the KTM 640 Adventure, but it's close enough for me.

A tiny (fits in the palm of my hand) coptic bound book with navy blue covers, pearlescent pages and gold and red plum blossom flowers on the cover (you can't really see it in the photo but the paper is high gloss and metallic). The book is bound with red cotton perle thread and the wrap around is hand-braided threads. The card stock is a lovely orange with navy flecks on one side and navy blue on the other; the same material used in the covers for the book.
The book is held in place my another piece of card that slots through the front of the atc to the back. Another card was added with heart shaped brads to cover the slotted card and neaten things up :) The little book is fully removable if desired. This photo shows the booklet free of the card.
