I always just start sewing and add the patches as I go along...
but I have been cutting and swapping 2½ inch squares for a few months now, and I suddenly thought... what to do with them?! Better start sorting... and have now made a layout that pleases my eye and still has a system to it...
and now the exciting part will be to see if I can actually stick to it and sew it up as planned... or if I get bored along the way and just improvise... as always :-D
Naaah... I am going to try.
oh Ayumi I messed up!! I was sure I was squaring this block up right but I managed to overlook the tiny detail of centering the ice cream cone. And now it's 1/2" more to the left!
I need some advice from you all. What should I do, trim the block down so the ice cream cone is centered, and then add a little to each side to make it 6 1/2" again? Or just start all over?
By the way it's supposed to be a green tea {you like that flavour right?} vanilla rose ice cream cone. With strawberry, whip cream and red chocolate bow on top!
I used this fun and colourful patchwork fabric to create a memory board. A perfect place to collect a little girl's most precious pictures, postcards and anything else she might fancy...
