Hand sewn using paper piecing

Dragged out a shelved project and made a bit of headway, always takes me a while after finishing a book to get back into sewing, it's almost as if my head is too bogged down to think straight for a while.

Quilted in a grid pattern with red variegated thread.

Really excited about this one. I've been collecting Liberty pieces for a few years now, and it'll be so fun to see them all in a quilt together!

She's about 33 inches tall and is made from odds and sods, small pieces of fabric too pretty to throw away, metal parts, buttons...

As this is for my baby girl, I didn't use wadding. I opted for a thick cotton flannelette backing.

fabrics assembled in squares, handstitched and pieced, straight edges bound with white cotton fabric, white

cotton lining, allover hand quilted in cable pattern, made in Canada during World War II and sent to England,

approximate length 202cms, approximate width 122cms.
