Completed snowball baby quilt with appliqued name, a gift for our neighbour.
I got the idea from the book 'Applique your way', and found it the perfect way to use up tiny scraps and embroidered leftovers I can't bear throwing out.

Two rainbow cushions made with Liberty of London fabrics sunning themselves on my fig and plum (Fig tree quilts for moda) quilt. Sadly I had to give away the one on the left as it was a commission; it looks better than in previous pictures as it was underfilled before! I see another make in my future. Link to tutorial is on blog.
Definitely a first-timer - I stitched up a piece of patchwork ACCORDING TO PLAS! That's never happened before....
I followed the layout I had made - you can see it here www.flickr.com/photos/notyetthedodo/7598187384/in/photost... - except for replacing two squares, as they were doubles (I only noticed when I had put it all toghether, there was a third one, that was a double - oops...) - and am really chuffed with it.
Thank you to all the flickr pals, who swappped squares with me earlier this year!
I did not have the usual fun while sewing, as the whole thing was just putting pieces toghether without making decisions - but hey, I could focus on my audio book a lot more :-)
I wonder, what I shall do with it.
Probably it needs a border of some sort.... 1. The Organized Patchwork, 2. The Organized Patchwork, 3. The Organized Patchwork, 4. The Organized Patchwork

The theme for this quilt was curves and was made by the Stitch Tease Bee - a mystery round robin bee. Blogged here:http://kechquilts.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-grand-stitch-tease-reveal.html
