FInally the massive recurring lump on my eye lid has been cut out. I had it done in theatre as a day case in the hope that the proper sterile environment and better light would do the job. Despite only having a local anaesthetic it completely wiped me out for the day. So this was taken pre patch off this morning. It'll stop the pirate jokes too i hope.
Patches is a sweet little calico Manx who has been at the refuge since 2008. She is incontinent due to a birth defect, and she requires daily hygiene cleanings. Because of her special needs, her chances of adoption are considerably lower than our other cats and she will likely be a lifelong resident at the Goathouse Refuge.
She loves people and getting attention. Every night at dinnertime, Patches knows it's time to get in the cage with her name on it! Some of our cats are caged at night if they require a special diet, which Patches does. We can also monitor her litterbox this way. In the morning, she is happy to come out and spend the day lounging on the futon or exploring the outside area, although she never goes far! She's a gentle little homebody cat.

well....unfortunately, this patched step was not patched when i was a freshman in college,
and even more unfortunately, it lead to my first broken bone.
september 13, 2001. 3 weeks into school i broke my ankle in this exact spot. i wasn't seeking it out in my visit to lawrence, but it happens to be the front steps to the school of architecture, which i did visit.
it was very traumatic at the time.
I must say though, i think having to learn how to navigate with crutches made me a better architect....when it comes to ADA.

I found some of my old Navy patches from various duty stations and squadrons I was in during my Navy years. So I scanned them.
Finally SimCity is starting to feel like it should with Patch 7.0 introducing traffic fixes and a bridge/tunnel tool.
I finally have a 100K population city without a traffic jam going in/out!
I pieced the back and included scraps of all the colors from the front.

And after all that effort, I realized I had no suitable head to swap. Do any of the Minis have white hair and/or afro puffs?
Patches is a piebald whitetail deer. Although they are pretty and rare, this is not a desired trait. Thought to be caused by overcrowded deer populations, which is the case here in Bent Tree.
Love this little fella. He's a character created by the Genius, he's part of a brand yet to be release. We look forward to launching that one in a couple of weeks...

A patch obtained by Col. George Keene during the Korean War in the 1950s. George had a long and well respected career as a lawyer, pilot and Air Force base commander. In general, I do not believe this reflected anti-war sentiment. I look forward to hearing from anyone who can shed more light on the origin and purpose of this patch.
Friends and family gathered at Oars and Paddles Park in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, to celebrate Hunter Babcock's 4th birthday party Oct. 24, 2021. The gifts, games, cake, and decorations paid homage to Hunter's favorite theme: dinosaurs!
After the party, Hunter and his family visited a pumpkin patch at Satellite Beach Methodist Church to select the perfect pumpkins to carve for Halloween.
