This is the very first encounter between Patches & Rambo. Patches was terrified of this little thing, running around the bed and peeking over the edge but not daring to come up until this instant. Shortly after the end of this video Patches hid away somewhere for hours. For 5 days whenever Rambo approached her Patches would hiss/growl or sometimes swat her then jump someplace high to escape the little devil. Rambo couldn't care less...she was fearless.

A patch here, a patch there, but the Rock remains. Valley Junction, East St Louis, IL, February 2023.
Patches is a piebald whitetail deer. Although they are pretty and rare, this is not a desired trait. Thought to be caused by overcrowded deer populations, which is the case here in Bent Tree.

A patch obtained by Col. George Keene during the Korean War in the 1950s. George had a long and well respected career as a lawyer, pilot and Air Force base commander. In general, I do not believe this reflected anti-war sentiment. I look forward to hearing from anyone who can shed more light on the origin and purpose of this patch.

Finally SimCity is starting to feel like it should with Patch 7.0 introducing traffic fixes and a bridge/tunnel tool.
I finally have a 100K population city without a traffic jam going in/out!
This is one of the oldest parts of the city, at the foot of the hill, Shou Shan. It's a poor, rundown area with many of the houses, some dating from the Japanese era, falling apart, standing derelict, or being patched up haphazardly. While some of them are beginning to be cleared for redevelopment, there are still plenty of people living here, and a strong sense of community.
Friends and family gathered at Oars and Paddles Park in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, to celebrate Hunter Babcock's 4th birthday party Oct. 24, 2021. The gifts, games, cake, and decorations paid homage to Hunter's favorite theme: dinosaurs!
After the party, Hunter and his family visited a pumpkin patch at Satellite Beach Methodist Church to select the perfect pumpkins to carve for Halloween.

The palace and park at Peterhof (also known as Petrodvorets) are often referred to as "the Russian Versailles".
Versailles was, however, the inspiration for Peter the Great's desire to build an imperial palace in the suburbs of his new city and, after an aborted attempt at Strelna, Peterhof - which means "Peter's Court" in German - became the site for the Tsar's Monplaisir Palace, and then of the original Grand Palace. The estate was equally popular with Peter's daughter, Empress Elizabeth, who ordered the expansion of the Grand Palace and greatly extended the park and the famous system of fountains.
