NYC Wine & Food Festival: GODIVA presents SWEET! at 82 Mercer St, NYC

Most pastry chefs (like Bob Truitt) who are friends with Johnny, all miss him since he's barely around NYC (he's the star/host of "Top Chef: Just Desserts"). It's essentially a restaurant pastry chef reunion at this event.

I handmade all the owl ornaments from scrapbooking paper I had.

This room was white with a drum set and 2 bass guitars in it. I am turning it into a playroom for my daughter. It also will serve as a guest room and our music room. The wall color is a bright robins egg blue but isn't showing up that way on camera. The color scheme was inspired by Gabby Cupcakes set shown here www.flickr.com/photos/pastrychef_gaby/3633266943/

She also has a cookie set with the same color scheme and I love them!! I'll post final shots of the room when it's completed.

The FCI's director of culinary technology David Arnold was invited to create an original cocktail using Guittard chocolate for the afternoon's festivities. To create his Alcoholic Chocolate-Cherry Soda, he used arotary evaporator to distill chocolate, separating the flavor from the mass (pictured above). The chocolate essence was combined with a distilled cherry essence, mixed with vodka, and carbonated.

Large fruit tarts I made at work, only requirement was to use the 5 different fruits, I obviously ran out of blackberries. :(
