Gingerbread cupcakes with torched saffron meringue frosting and almond paste filling.
The flavors and design of these cupcakes are inspired by a traditional Swedish Christmas bun called "lussekatt".
Fun to see two poster prints pasted on a brick wall of one of the old buildings along Roosevelt Street in the Arts District of Phoenix. A close view of the image shows beautiful collage compositions for each print. The pasted prints on the wall are somehow made more prominent by the careful abstract splashes of paint decorating the surface of the brick wall.

close up of forearm with the kneeling lady holding a lotus. the orange spots are watercolor pencil where I measured a straight line from palm to elbow so the design would be straight when the arms were raised.
The concept was to create an elbow to fingertip henna design but instead of the standard hindi, to create patterns taken from Egyptian art.
