Sparklers produce an absurd amount of light, in many cases easily beating the midday Sun. But clearly they are not bright enough to be suitable for a midday light painting… Yes, I’ve tried to do some light painting over the early PM landscape, and failed miserably.
Clouds did a much better job.

Hey guys its been a while.
Reason why is I am finally graduated!!! WOOOAHH!!! May 21, 2011 was the day of my graduation.
I had a party on May 22 and that is when I took this picture. I had a dive party and it was awesome!!!! I got a few picture but not many.
Yesterday a close friend named Sean was certified as an Open Water Scuba Diver WOOAAHHHH!!!! A lot of things have gone on and this is why I haven't posted pictures :P
Yesterday after his final boat dive Donato and I went down to Key Largo to help the Pilot Whales!

This was in the days when seafarers had neither heard of, let alone used, sunscreen.
After joining BP's supertanker/VLCC 'British Navigator' on the 24/07/1974 in drydock, at Mitsubishi's giant shipbuilding and ship repair facility at Koyagi, Nagasaki, we sailed for Kharg Island, Iran to load a full cargo of crude oil, which would eventually be discharged at Europort and Immingham.
Vessel details:
Keel laid during November 1970, launched on 07/03/1971, and completed on 30/06/1971, by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Nagasaki, Japan (1674)
108,531 g.t. & 218,587 dwt., as:
'British Navigator' to 1976, &
'Sivand' until, on 15/10/1984, during a laden voyage from Kharg Island, Iran, to an unknown port in southern Europe, the vessel was struck by an aircraft-launched guided missile, and caught fire in a position near Farsi Island, approximately 60 nautical miles south of Kharg Island.
The vessel was heavily damaged.
Later the vessel was sold to Taiwan for demolition and arrived at Kaohsiung on 07/05/1986.
Clouds always make for more dramatic captures. When the rain rolls in, head to the beach chances are that there will be a break and an opportunity to go home with a nice shot.

I was busy concentrating on this rusty old seafront shelter in Southsea when two young women walked through the shot with their dog.
One of them did a cheeky pose for the camera without pausing and they both walked off laughing.
A priceless fun moment shared with two complete strangers but which was full of humour.
What I like about this image is how it reflects life.
People suddenly appear in your life, create an impact and memories and then are gone. They can be there for a split second or for many years but they leave behind them a memory (like these 2 young women) that cannot be forgotten.
I would have liked to have shown these 2 young women this image but it was a fleeting moment between passing strangers.
My fond memory is the fun they had being cheeky in front of my camera.
All three of us laughed and the moment was gone but captured on film as a record.
BNSF Dash 9-44CW No. 5432 is doing DP duties today on an eastbound Norfolk Southern manifest freight passing a westbound container train in Richmond, Indiana.
I really need to go back to my relatives in Wales soon and reinvestigate the landscape to create more wonderful shots like this one!
I was about to go to bed at around 5am but then brad, brett, austin and walter were heading out to Black's Beach to surf so I tagged along to document it. It went well, especially when I fell asleep on the beach when they were surfing...

Monson 4 passes the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Company's yard in South Portland. In the foreground, the body of a former Bridgton & Saco River boxcar is used as a shed to house wood used for starting the locomotives.
The sun is already heading for the horizon as this Guest Engineer train runs east past Fish Point, on Portland's Eastern Promenade.
On this day, the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Company & Museum was running it's Guest Engineer Program, in which patrons can purchase a ticket allowing them to run the locomotive under supervision, for an hour and a half.
A Norfolk Southern freight comes through Waynesboro VA. in the last light of a rainy/snowy afternoon just after New Years.
On Wednesday, October 5, 2005, BNSF Railway (BNSF) 7740, 4727,995 and 5088 led a southbound intermodal train passing another intermodal train at Bealville, CA.
BNSF 7740 is a GE ES44DC. Reportedly it was built in 2005, serial number 55800.
Conrail ME-2 heads for the National Can lead, passing Lincoln Tower on the Northeast Corridor. Apparently the 12 switch required some attention and an Amtrak C&S crew was on the scene. ME-2 had entered the NEC a short time earlier via the switch that is visible just behind the workmen. Caboose 22137 is a fixture on this train, as it is used to protect reverse moves.

In this image, the falling darkness helped to enhance the image. There was just enough light to show clearly the surroundings and just enough darkness to create some interesting effects with the headlight of the approaching train as the light reflected on the sides of the last pair of trailers on an eastbound intermodal train.
