This is a long exposure of the Tinside Lido on the Plymouth Hoe, taken as a storm passed through on Friday night. I must have looked like a madman trying to stop raindrops getting on the lens whilst the shutter was open, but I think I achieved it nonetheless. I thought about editing out the blurred flags, but thought they helped to emphasize the speed of the wind.
I got my new iPad last week, so thought I would perform the B&W processing in Snapseed, to put it through its paces. After uploading I realised this removes a lot of the EXIF info, so from memory it is as follows:

BR Class 81 81021 was the welcomed motive power allocated to work the 1O25 09:50 Glasgow Central/ 07:50 Dundee to Poole Inter-City Cross-Country service, recorded passing Wolverhampton North Junction.
Delivered from Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company in April 1962, withdrawal came in April 1987 and it was scrapped at MC Metals, Springburn in 1992.

56058 passes Milford Junction with 7U24 Killoch to Eggborough MGR. 11/9/99. Unusually the two nearest tracks were out of use that day. Presumably everything was being diverted via Castleford.
A pair of early morning commuters make their way on foot to their work destination, without even giving any thought to the country/rock bar that was probably just closed a few hours before.

BR 37042 emarges from under Wothorpe Road bridge, Stamford in March 1983 with a westbound freight.
Delivered from English Electric Vulcan Foundry in June 1964 [D6742], this locomotive would complete a host of allocations around the BR network and in turn join the EWS fleet. Allocated to the reserve fleet in 2004, the 37/0 was sold for preservation in 2011, being moved to Warcop on the Eden Valley Railway.

Lady passing the Pantheon, Rome
For the "Hitting the Streets" assignment I chose to explore the quick paced culture and lifestyle of local Italians by photographing them in transit. All of the images are created 'in passing', while quickly approaching then moving away from the subject on the street while walking. I photographed each subject unknowingly 'from the hip' and had only a few seconds to capture them before we went our separate ways. I found it to be a really delicate process that had to be timed, set, and focused perfectly. There was a very specific time frame where the image could be made and once it was gone, it was gone forever. Many of the subjects I attempted to capture were lost to poor focusing, underexposure, and other technical problems. Working through the trials makes each of the successful images even more valuable to me.

Great Western hall class No. 6990 Witherslack hall is pictured passing Swithland signal box on the Great central railway during a Timeline events photo charter.
Splurged on a new body (camera, that is) and it rained all day. So I went out anyway, in the late afternoon, within half an hour the wind picked up and broke up the clouds, About 45 minutes before sunset this is what I was treated to. Taken from the base of Sumas Mountain looking towards Deroche. The Cottonwood trees that you can see are quite dull this time of the year, as you can see by the ones in the shade, but if a low sun hits them they can be quite striking. Reached 139 on Explore.
On a wet December 12 in 1992, N475 brings 6MA8 Overland past the Balhannah station heading towards Adelaide
Norfolk Southern Local K92, the Vardo extra, heads down the Williamsport Secondary at Valley Mall with Wes, Eric, and Jeremy Hill (conductor) in the cab.
Many people think this line is owned by Winchestern & Western, but it is owned by NS, until it switches to Winchester & Western ownership just South of Williamsport. NS keeps the line to serve two customers in Williamsport, CertainTeed and Southern Ionics, which are both getting served today.

Time is ticking for the not too far off future of when these T4's look as crappy as any other cookie cutter Gevo out racking up the miles. Amazingly somebody at CN has managed to keep consecutive #'s together for a number of cycles down the Waukesha sub as seen here on M346 at Ackerville.

A Denver & Rio Grande Western Cumbres Turn hammers up the 4% grade near Dalton, NM, passing by Lobo Lodge (MP 339.0) on her its way to the 10,015 ft. high Cumbres Pass, about 8 miles ahead.
The little cabins pictured just above the train are known as "Lobo Lodge" and are part of a large, private reservation, called Rancho del Oso Pardo, which caters to sportsmen, such as hunters and fishermen. This reservation includes much of the trackside property north of Chama, NM. Although it may look pretty inviting for many outdoor enthusiasts, the accommodations here are not for rent. Rather, it's a fractional ownership arrangement and the cost of entry approaches 2 million dollars.
This image was captured on a September 2011 Lerro Photography Charter which featured DRGW K-36 Locomotive #489 lettered as her long-lost sister #485, which was scrapped in the 1950s after a turntable accident.
8153 and a 48 class with the dynamometer car pass through Cootamundra station early in the evening on 5th September 1992.
I once took courses in physiks and you can not mind here making thoughts about time, especially concerning matter and velocity.
Our senses perceive time while observing changes (movement, growth, destruktion, rust). Mathematics also give changes as a result of passing time. This way I tried to display time by displaying changes/movement and numbers are always good concerning time.

I created an image with multiple exposure. In photoshop I distorted this and added numbers.
Passing by this scene a couple of weeks ago, I had to stop for a shot. It was raining lightly, and the clouds allowed the colors to be highlighted in the capture.
When all you have is time, why not use that time to improve yourself and learn something?
