Three reasons I chose this shot- 1. the sky was pretty cool- looking towards a dieing (dead) sunset, 2. It is so clean (honestly not photoshopped and the colours are actually desaturated from the RAW) and 3. I like that wet bit running down the inside of the incoming lane.

Taken last week on the same night as "illogans run"- I'm glad that one person, parcel packer, got the (lame) joke in the title.

Standard 4 tank no. 80080 passes Strongstry on the 15th May 2015 whilst working the 09.30 Bury to Rawtenstall service. Unfortunately, the bluebells to the right of the locomotive are not as extensive or prominent as in previous years but nevertheless confirm the arrival of spring..

A literal explanation for what was actually happening! I think the woman under the cabana thought I was taking picture of her!

Double-headed freight passing by, on a grey day in July 1966, with a BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 in front, and ex-LMS 'Black 5' 4-6-0 45168 behind.

45168 was withdrawn in September 1966, and scrapped in January 1967. No less than 18 examples were preserved, but not all of these have been restored..

Restored from an over-exposed, grainy, misaligned blue-colour-shifted original..

Iowa Northern North job heading North thru the Black Hawk County Conservation Commission's Rotary Reserve park on a dank and wet Sunday afternoon. This train shoved all the way down to Franklin St in Waterloo, and then Headed West/North on the CN Industrial lead. I had to stop at a Walgreens to get some cold/flu med, and saw the tail end of her going thru CF Jct, so I headed up Union Rd to catch her at Rotary. Very easily done when 10-15mph on their home rails is the usual max speed

Coming across a fellow pedestrian, I never thought it would be a welcomed event while taking a walk. Considering the population density in Dhaka, not seeing at least 100 people the moment you start walking would be unusual.

In another side of the world, Buffalo NY, it was the opposite. In my daily walk to UB campus, I rarely met fellow pedestrians. Felt spooky at first, then I got used to it. At least, the air is clean.
