The rear and front of two trains are seen as they pass each other at Inveresk. An East Coast service with DVT 82220 on the rear , hauled by 91118, is seen passing 70809 on a southbound empty cement working. The East Coast service is 1S19, the late running 1330 London Kings Cross - Edinburgh Waverley service, while 70809 is working 6B34, 1621 Viewpark - Oxwellmains service on the 25th June 2018 at 1830
Two sets of Arrow III MUs cross over and under each other at Kearny Junction. Also passing through the scene is a set of new Bombardier Multilevels that have slowly but surely replaced more than half the fleet.

Passing the time (over two weeks) waiting to hear from a client. Café Le Sélect is the best place to pass time!
Our hotel was 300 feet high on a huge rock. Some good views of Amadores Beach below and the boats passing by. A week later there were massive waves coming over these breakwaters.

West Hartlepool-allocated 'Q6' 0-8-0 No 63438 passing Pelaw signal box with a rake of 21-ton coal hopper wagons on a murky day in early 1964. It was withdrawn from service in November of that year.

All the roads in this area are single track and passing places are used to allow vehicles to pass safely when they meet. It also means that sometimes reversing is required and most people who drive a lot on these roads are very competent. As for visitors - well, let's say for some it can present a challenge.
The passing places are also used to allow following traffic to overtake. Of course the leading driver has to know this and be willing to pull in so the trailing vehicle can overtake. Visitors please take note!
