BR standard locos 4 & 5 meet, as 73082 charges through Horsted Keynes Station on a northbound express to the capital, whilst 80151 sits in Platform 1 whilst its van train is loaded.

Over the last weekend the Swansea to London services have been sent via Gloucester, this is one passing the returning oil tanks late one evening.

66742 is seen passing Whitley Bridge Junction in charge of the Hull Docks (Coal terminal) to Ferrybridge Power station gypsum working. The junction here was the entrance to the now mothballed Eggrbough power station. I'm not sure what was going on but gangers had been working on the points bottom left of this scene. They had retreated for their lunch whilst this service passed by.

Sunset approaches in the Allegheny River Valley as the Driftwood Turn hustles north to Turtlepoint with loaded stone hoppers. The hillside from US 6 provides a fine view of northbounds passing through Port Allegheny.
this wall was at the juncture of a t-junction and as I walked towards it I was thinking of street photography advice: 'stake a good spot and wait for someone interesting to walk by'. As these things with me are always done on the move, I was not about to hang around, but was interested to see who came around the corner. Voila, the result . . . .

Thanks to the roadworks along Jenolan Caves Rd near Hampton. We couldn't drive home that way.They were only letting the people in who lived along there, this was taken as we were driving along the Great Western highway near Lithgow.

Used a bit of texture and a bit of painting effects here.
When this nasty storm cloud was passing overhead I kept running outside in the rainstorm to look for a rainbow since it was doing the rain in sunshine thing (my neighbors must think I'm nuts), and just as the whole storm cloud became visible in my viewfinder a rainbow appeared! This image sort of reminds me of that storm cloud with rainbow photo going around G+ so I thought I had better share it.

Shot Notes: Single -1.3 EV frame blended with a 7-frame HDR to help pop cloud detail. I shot this on my Nikon D700 in FX mode using the Tokina 11-16 at 16mm. I think for a DX lens it does a fine job acting as a 16 mm prime for FX (I'm not shooting in DX mode, but only 16 is usable).

North and South bound pendolinos are seen passing North of Rugeley Trent Valley station beneath the mass of overhead wires
The rear and front of two trains are seen as they pass each other at Inveresk. An East Coast service with DVT 82220 on the rear , hauled by 91118, is seen passing 70809 on a southbound empty cement working. The East Coast service is 1S19, the late running 1330 London Kings Cross - Edinburgh Waverley service, while 70809 is working 6B34, 1621 Viewpark - Oxwellmains service on the 25th June 2018 at 1830
These are the first pictures of my trip to Hamburg - there was so much to see! I was experimenting with the exposure times a lot and this is what came out at the end. Don't forget to check out my other picture as well: Waiting for the train!
