Canadian National train No. 101 waits in the siding for eastbound No. 102 to pass by on the main at Ashcroft, British Columbia, on a hot July 15, 2014.
Another one from the archives, this time from our holiday in Cyprus 2017 and the light show that nature gave me after a huge storm that I sheltered from, waiting for it to pass as I could see what was coming.

This poor Great Blue Heron was looking for a place to land but after flying around the park on three different times, it gave up. Our water level is so high it makes it difficult for them to find the right spot.

It's February 2nd, 2007 and the SD40's were still roaming the CPR, a trio of SD40-2's idle on the north track waiting for the conductor to walk up after lifting steel coils out of P66 from last nights CP 436 from Sudbury. Passing them on the right is CP 245 with another 4 SD40-2's and a short freight.
6 second exposure smoothing out the water a little on this windy evening with the passing cold front.

A container ship passes San Francisco’s Mile Rocks Light, offshore of Lands End on the northwestern shore of the city.
There are things that drift away like our endless, numbered days
Autumn blew the quilt right off the perfect bed she made
And she's chosen to believe in the hymns her mother sings
Sunday pulls its children from their piles of fallen leaves ...
day 27. a good day to daydream.
