This is a picture from a wonderful sunrise back in October. I mimicked a long exposure by blending together 136 exposures I took during the time span of a bit more than a quarter hour.
One of many Bonaparte's Gulls that are at the lake this year. This one is a nonbreeding adult. Bucks County PA.
This image is almost entirely out of focus except for the ear and a small part on Iolanda's hair. I'm not sure everyone will like this, but I have a thing for out-of-focus images. Maybe this doesn't succeed, but I want to provide just enough detail to allow the viewer to fill in the rest. I think it kinda works with the title, too. We don't always see people who pass by "in focus".
This image was taken at Chesapeake. Unfortunately, the sim is gone, now.

A beautiful, breezy Spring day on the Isle of Skye, the clouds making lovely colours on the mountain tops.
Yellow-rumped Thornbill (Acanthiza chrysorrhoa)
As I pulled into the driveway after a trip to the Werribee River Park I noticed a pair of Thornbills in the Ornamental Pear Tree in front of of house.
An April winter storm left a dusting of snow in the area of Mt. Pisgah. This shot is an extreme crop of an image from my wide angle lens. I didn’t have time to switch lenses before the fog lifted.
I have been absent from flickr for a while. I hope to catch up with everyone.
This time, like all times, is a very good one, if we but know what to do with it.”

This image was taken under strict supervision by the charter organiser, crews of each loco including the guards and official GCR Train manager to be certain we were in a safe position well away from each running line. Only a small number of photographers were allowed in this location at any one time! Certainly an experience I wont forget in a hurry!
