STPPs Waneta Turn continues north through Northport, WA. In the past, they used to stop in the small town but have since stopped and instead, head straight to Columbia Gardens from Kettle Falls.

A Central Railroad of Indiana GP50 in Rail America colors was leading an Indiana Railroad GP38 and a Rail America former Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia GP50 still in Burlington Northern paint on a coal train at INRD's Hiawatha Yard in Jasonville.
The former Milwaukee Road's Latta Sub was a very interesting piece of railroad.
Just had a great couple of days up in the Peak District scouting new locations and trying out the new camera for the first time, I wasn't especially lucky with the light on this trip at each end of the days but certainly came back with a few dramatic images from the afternoons, and a good list of new spots with potential for the next visit.
I hadn't planned to shoot here today but the contrasty light and dramatic nature of the sky when I was passing by changed my mind.
Naturally as soon as I had set up it started raining and with nowhere to shelter it was just a case of covering the camera up and getting wet for 5 minutes until it passed by, I often like the light that follows a rainstorm so it's worth hanging around rather then running for the nearest tree. it soon blew over and I was able to get my shot.

I've been ill for 7 weeks now, but I've finally picked up my camera again and created something. I'm hugely better than I was, but still needing lots of pills every day, which make me very sleepy. Sadly, I seem to have missed the whole summer. :(
One of the activities which has helped me pass the time is creating wax seals - a modern version of the seals that were used to authenticate important documents in the Middle Ages. They're much prettier now. The lovely thing about it is that when things go wrong, as they do, you can just cut them up, melt them and start again. :)
Thank you to everyone who wrote kind, supportive, comments on my last upload and special thanks to those who sent me personal messages. They really cheered me up and I'm very grateful.
I hope I'll be back on Flickr properly very soon.
Napoli Afragola station. Designed by architect Zaha Hadid and opened in 2017.
Photo taken from (slowly) moving train, hence dodgy quality!
The title comes from more than just the scooter pictured. Things come....things go.
Have a good week everyone.

The head end of the same coal train as in the previous shot about to reach the summit. (I had plenty of time to get here.)

I was fishing in a shallow bay, on Wolf Lake, in the Yukon, Canada when this cow moose emerged from the brush and ambled along the water's edge.
I have really enjoyed watching this male and female kingfisher getting to know each other. The male kingfisher passes a fish he has caught to the female in a wonderful expression of love.
