The practice of displaying precious objects started in the early 18th century England when wealthy people needed to store and display their fine porcelain and book collections. Nowadays, display cabinets house various treasures from precious silverware to collectible curios. Each cabinet has a molded cornice, below are double doors with glazed beveled glass, and a wood panel bottom fitted with integrated brass keyhole and pull. These are positioned at each corner of the wall, or they can be conjoined to form a seemingly one semi-circular cabinet.

Saw them in a field yesterday on my way home from work. Quick U-ie but they retreated to the trees back against the woods. Down the road and another U-ie, I returned and pulled up slowly. They were very nervous. Just got these from inside the car and they flew again. Brother it was cold! I'll be watching that field for sure.
Bates College men's tennis almost picked up a pair of points before falling to No. 3 nationally-ranked Amherst College, 9-0, at a sun-splashed Wallach Tennis Center on Saturday.
The Bobcats (4-7, 1-2 NESCAC) nearly earned wins in first and second doubles, but the Lord Jeffs (23-2, 2-0 NESCAC) pulled out the victories for the sweep.
Senior Timmy Berg (Bradenton, Fla.) won the first set at the No. 1 singles spot, 7-5, before conceding the second set to No. 14 Joey Fritz, 6-2. Fritz then took the tiebreaker 10-7.
Across the way at the No. 2 spot, junior Pierre Planche (Natick, Mass.) captured a 6-3 first set win before narrowly falling in the second set, 7-6 (6), to Chris Dale. Dale gained the edge in the tiebreaker, 10-5.
First-year Christopher Ellis (Shrewsbury, Mass.) pushed Michael Solimano at the No. 3 singles position before absorbing a 6-3, 6-4 defeat.
Next, Bates hosts Tufts on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. while Amherst plays at Bowdoin tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Took a walk out towards Weston this morning and there was plenty to see.
This pair of Buzzards were hunting over the fields and I was able to watch them for some time. If anyone happens to have a spare EF 600mm f4 L IS they want to give me, I'll see if I can get some better shots :)
