Sample packaging for stickers, so they can hang on pegs. I've switched to similar packaging that doesn't hang because I'm using a different display for the sticker packs.

Maira Kalman, Pink Package, 2004–2005,
gouache on paper, 14-1/4 x 11-1/2 inches
Courtesy of the artist and Julie Saul Gallery, New York
More about Maira: Years ago, Maira Kalman traveled to India and bought some bangles for her daughter, Lulu Bodoni (yes, that's Bodoni, as in the font). The bangles were then packed up in a gloriously utilitarian pink box tied up with string. Maira found it so alluring in its ordinariness that the package remains as is. To her, it is “the box from India that may not be opened.”
The pink package is on display in the exhibition, along with Maira's sumptuous drawing of it, shown here.
the modules i just got are identical to two i already had... so that's 6x1GB now.
somehow i thought this package was already lost in the mail... especially since i saw how the Xeons arrived in the mail a few days back (not insured or such)...
But... it seems my package with the true value written on the outside got held up at the border and i had to pay taxes on it...
Well... that's better than getting lost in total, right?
So, I think this was the last part for my never ending server number two, i better get going now and colocate this thing! ^_^
Carton of Salt
Location: Grocery store
Material: Mostly cardboard/paper and a small metal spout.
Ratio of packaging to product: 15% ?
Very functional package. It's not there to be fancy, just to deliver salt to you. The entire cylinder is filled, so there isn't even any wasted space at the top like most other packages.
Worker at the charcoal factory weighing and packaging the charcoal into paper bags for sale. All done manually by hand.
I was so excited when I opened the mail box and found a large envelope from Berlin. Here's what was inside.

I am in love with Washi Tapes that I get from the Tinted Mint. They dress up my packaging, but are environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and are relatively inexpensive for the way that I use them. These tapes come in a miriad of colors and patterns and several widths. They are re-positionable, even on my tissue paper!
