Just a little surprise package to some special kiddos. Their candy stash needed replenishing.
The robot t-shirt was from esty seller Happy Family -http://www.etsy.com/shop/happyfamily
Now this is the packaging for the slevve, nothing strange yet, it just big enough to hold the sleeve and protect it from damage.
So @dollsahoy ‘s package for my birthday got here like 5 months after my actual birthday but I’m really excited cuz I’m a big glutton for doll clothes. I have zero passion for making them so it’s always fantastic having new stuff from Andrea haha.
Surprisingly there was also stuff from @ragamuffinsquad that Andrea included. That includes this Skipper Outfit (that I’m itching to debox for a Momoko), a few collector heads, Mother Gothel, Fashionista Ken and a whole bunch of factory clothes.
Andrea sewed up so many nice things and I already dressed a few dolls but there’s a bunch leftover.
Also she included The Asian Bowl but in miniature, a Maccas Witch and vintage Barbie toys, the AA Hiker doll and Eegee Andy.
Ahhhhhhhhhh im so sleep deprived but excited.
Catalog 1 3/4 size envelopes and tiny envelope (with contents inside!) made from a page of a computer manual. Complete stationary package coming soon.

Fizeau Instrumentation Package
You are looking at an instrumentation package that was recovered from the Fizeau bunker at the Nevada Test Site. The package, which was suspended on a coil spring to absorb the jolt from the explosion, was called a "pogo stick" by the workers. The bunker housed the scientific instruments, recorders, and cameras used to capture temperature, pressure, radiation, and neutron flux data generated by the Fizeau device which was exploded 500 feet above the bunker. Prior to archaeological recovery of this instrumentation package, the tape recorders and a unique system that minimized the damaging effects of the electromagnetic pulse had been removed from between the control box (top) and the seven-panel plug-in instrument cluster (center). The plug-in instrument panels you see were used to calibrate individual weapon components prior to the test. Above the panels are cables leading to the metal control box that were used to relay the first few milliseconds of the Fizeau event signal to 84 tape recorder channels. There were three other instrumentation packages in the bunker with different instrument clusters that included oscilloscopes and oscillographs.
Preserving America's Nuclear Testing Heritage
America's atmospheric testing program was of extraordinary significance both nationally and internationally. The specialized instrumentation and support facilities are the most visible reminders of this watershed period in American history. Most of the remaining artifacts from this program exist at the Nevada Test Site. The Desert Research Institute began historical evaluations of nuclear testing structures in 1991 and later expanded its mission to include historic preservation activities, recovering artifacts, and collecting paper records and oral histories. In November 2000, a team surveyed the Fizeau bunker to determine its present contents. Emery Whitlow, a former Sandia National Laboratories employee who had worked in the Fizeau bunker in 1957, served as the team's subject matter expert. William Gray Johnson, an archaeologist with the Desert Research Institute, headed the recovery of the Fizeau instrumentation package. He is shown at right dressed in anti-contamination gear, which was required as a precaution but, as expected, proved unnecessary.

I bought some "Stop 'n Grow" to prevent me biting my nails (I go through phases of this bad habit), and the product itself works really well.
What's amusing is the incredibly gender-specific copy on the packaging! "GIRLS can begin using nail polish..." "MOTHERS will find...", "MEN can also overcome the embarrassment..." Very strange for 2013!

You can enhance packaging experience by giving it a holiday touch, but you may wonder if it is worth your investment. In this article, we will discuss why seasonal #packaging may be the best approach to keep your customers glued to your brand.
The unboxing experience becomes more exciting
According to a survey, 49% of people feel excited to receive a #package that stands out. The holiday packaging has a different appeal for people because it reminds them of the quality time they spend with their families.
Fred Richards, who works as a Chief Creative Officer and Managing Partner at Kaleidoscope, says that a branded packaging attracts attention, educates #customers about the brand, and builds a lasting memory, which can result in additional #purchases.
You may wonder how you can make your #product packaging this attractive. The answer is that you are going to have to pay attention to the fine details. When you decorate gift boxes, consider them as gifts that you are planning to give to the customers.
The personality of your brand
With a successful product packaging that brings you new and repetitive sales throughout the year, you may feel hesitant to bring any change to the packaging design. The fact of the matter is that your brand has its identity and personality. You can take the core design elements from the fundamental design and add them to more festive packaging #design.
The best way to do it is to ask yourself how your brand will celebrate the holidays. The type of product you sell will act as a deciding factor in the development of packaging design.
Another way is to think of your #brand as a person to identify its personality attributes. It will help you decide which design elements will enhance the overall personality of your brand during the winter season.
Holiday packaging that looks like a collectible
The reason many people keep their grandparent’s holiday decorations along with the packaging is that they think of these items as collectibles. The item surely holds special value, but delightful packaging makes it a worth keeping set. It reminds you of your familial history.
Holiday packaging can become a memory. Using this packaging for your products can remind your customers of the coziness related specifically to the holidays. If you are using high-quality packaging materials, you never know if the grandparents of any of your customers may be looking at that packaging after so many years.
Packaging design that is worth sharing on social media
With the videos sharing the unboxing experience of the products, consumers seem to have fallen in love with the product packaging. It is also evident with the fact that unboxing videos on YouTube have been able to receive 57% more views than other types of videos. Not every customer will make a video of your product’s unboxing process, but most of them will share it somehow. It can be a significant word-of-mouth marketing.
So, are you looking to create a memorable holiday packaging for your product? You may want to contact a packaging consultant to know about different options.
