Friends, light, urban vibe, grand nature - it has it all, and I had to go back. My travel impressions from Lisbon.
Originally built as the outer garden of the Kanazawa castle, Kenroku-en was opened to the public in 1875. It is considered one of the "three most beautiful gardens in Japan" and is filled with a variety of trees, ponds, waterfalls and flowers.
Kenroku-en Garden, which means "garden having six factors", was given the name because of the six attributes that bring out the perfect landscape of the garden: spaciousness, tranquility, artifice, antiquity, water courses, and magnificent view from the garden.
It stretches over 25 acres (100,000 m²).
