A holiday added onto the end of a work visit allowed us to visit Callanais Stones, Arnol Blackhouses and Gearannan Blackhouse Village. Returning on the ferry from Tarbert also gave us chance to visit the Isle of Harris Distillery - quite impressive all round trip!

Oceanfront House in Rodanthe

An imaginary outer space village to be

inhabited by humans seeking refuge from the polluted Earth. They

include the effects of totalitarianism, surveillance, quarantine and isolation, and environmental issues of pollution. The work satirically draws

attention to the waste generated everyday by the seemingly ... benign act of consuming a beverage. Lights will

illuminate the sea of cans, which may be accompanied by video commenting on

conspicuous consumption.

These are what's left of a forest that used to exist sometime in the 1600's on this very area where the beach is now. The beach looks untouched in places. These stumps have reflectors on them so while driving or walking you won't run into them. It is nice that there is still some preservation of nature like this.
