After visiting the Outer Hebrides a few years ago Mireille and myself had already re-visited the lower half of the string of Scottish islands last year, and this year we decided that we would re-visit the top 2 islands that were missed out last year.

Having already visited 8 Scottish islands so far on our May holiday (Isles of May, Mull, Iona, Rum, Eigg, Canna, Sanday, Skye), it was time to set sail for numbers 9 and 10 on our list - the Isles of Lewis and Harris which lie at the North end of the Western Isles/Outer Hebrides, and are to be found in the Atlantic Ocean off the West coast of Scotland.

This image was taken during our few days enjoying some of the places on Lewis that we already know from previous visits, and a few new locations that we didn't have the chance to explore before.

It is quite hard to photo these stunning beads, they are by clare scott and are gorgeous love them, i have teamed them up with 4mm and 6mm swarovski crystals and karen hill print curve beads, this measures just over 8"
