With the start of the spring the weather turns really great these days so we took the oppurtunity to shoot some nice after sunset photos in our neighbourhood. This is a spot near the "Binnenmaas" where we had some great light last evening on the small boat wharf where people swim in the summer. This one turns out pretty good in my opinion.
Just want to take this oppurtunity to thanks a Flickr friend, Neezhom, who has been sharing his photography skills. Go and have a look at his stream, his photos are really awesome!

A few weeks ago national monuments were opened to the public. Since I live closeby to the Van Nelle factory, I thought that it would be a great oppurtunity to finally see this place. Unfortunately the terrain was way too crowdy for what I had in mind and the weather was pretty gray. The latter did not make the editing any easier. It feels like I didn't get the white balance right in any of my shots (more can be found on my website by clicking the link below).
I took this with the idea of something else and photoshopping some other elements into the picture, but I kind of like the simplicity and how it turned out without it, and I jump at any oppurtunity NOT to use photoshop, because it always tends to look worse when I do.
Week 11
I was lucky enough to be given the oppurtunity to shoot at a new, amazing hotel in Colorado. The Black Monarch is a dark, curiosities, eccentric themed hotel that is a one of it's kind. It used to be a casino, brothel, and saloon back in the Gold Rush era, so as you can imagine, with all these unqiue qualities combined, I had such a fun, creative time shooting there. I felt so fortunate to be allowed to literally explore the whole space and shoot wherever we wanted to.

Today while out snapping of photos of the demise of Shakti I found myself helping out Jonah in carrying a few remains back to what I thought was his apartment. As we ventured further up State we eventually arrived atop and entered the door in front of Ian's Pizza, there was an elevator that I'd never really noticed before. As I'd never met Jonah before this evening I was hesitant to go up with him, but I proceeded my nerves were tense. After climbing 4 floors, we stepped out of the elevator into an elaborate open spaced office setting. Low and behold, I was now in the headquarters of 100state a non-profit that seems to have a lot going on for it. Jonah introuduced me to a few of the guys who run the place. After shaking hands, introducing myself as the photographer I started hearing sounds coming from down the hall. We then went towards the sound, where I entered a room full of all sorts of people of all ages. As it turns out, I was at the innagurual meeting for Make Music Madison.
As I sat through the meeting listening to a variety of speakers talk, I met a few new people around me. Musicians, publicists, singers, mostly people active in the music community of Madison. During this time we were supplied with cookies and soda (beer for those of age), and kept thoroughly entertained. Splitting into groups to discuss certain parts of the Make Music Madison celebration, I found myself at home with a group for advertising and press. Time was flying by, I hadn't brought my cell phone to check the time constantly BUT it was kind of a nice break from reality. When we all convened near 8:00, we were given a few pieces to take forth for the next meeting and then invited to start a jam session in the main office. This is where I met Elliot (as pictured), strumming the guitar and singing to a variety of classic tunes.
At this point I knew I had found my stranger, but decided to just sit back and enjoy the moment of peace that music brings. I then put my camera to my face and clicked a few frames. as I could tell Elliot was just enjoying the moment. I knew there had to be at least one keeper in the bunch, so I turned the camera off and just listened. Once the music had died down and everyone seemed to be just chatting and talking, I approached Elliot to show him the photos I had snapped and he instantly said "That's so going to be my Facebook profile!" The perfect oppurtunity to explain my 100 more strangers project and the concept behind 100 strangers. He was cool with being interviewed, so I took what scrap paper I could find laying around and started to write notes.
Towards the end of middle school in 2004 he picked up a guitar and ran with it, no he didn't run far but he kept it close. He liked the guitar mainly because of its portability, which is true (unless you have an advanced sound system in place and requires a large vehicle to transport it). Growing up he was a big fan of rock and metal so when asked who inspires him the most in music now, Elliot couldn't give a firm answer. A variety of artists and styles: such as the ballads of Metallica to the silly tunes of Weird Al, but presently he is enjoying Bob Marley. Though he has been listening to a lot of Sigur Rós as of late, an Icelandic band who sings in their own language called "Hopelandic" (quite unique in a special way).
Elliot is in a band called The Earthlings and I took a listen to a few of their songs online. Overall good tunes, especially 11:11 (my lucky time) but you should be sure to check them out and give their Facebook page a like. They are currently prepping for a show at the end of the month at the Dragonfly Lounge, so you could also see them live there! When we parted our separate ways Elliot turned to me and said "music is power." Those words really defined the night all around, get out and click some stranger photos! It's all about connections, knowing the right person could really give you all sorts of opportunities!

Pole Dancer: Megumi Yuzuki / 柚月恵
Couple of months ago I had this assignment to take some profile photos of a pole dancer, this was the first time for me to shoot someone doing this type of dance, and we did some very interesting stuff together. Her name is Megumi Yuzuki / 柚月恵, and she is one of the best pole dancers in Japan, she is very professional and also very easy to work with. We have also done some other shoots after this one, but the result from them I will upload later! In this article I will explain the strobist setup of the edgy lighting I've been using for her, and you can see some of the photos below!

In this shoot after a talk with my model, trying to analyze her I decided to go with some edgy lighting, thus putting some emphasize on her beautiful body lines. So I decided to use my strip lights from both sides diagonally and shoot without any light from the front side. I think this really created some images that show in a really good way her body structure. Then after some shots with only the strip lights, I thought to put some life into the background, so here came the flash gels, on this shoot I used blue and purple, as you will see on the shots I've uploaded down in the article! And after setting that, it was just about to shoot, she was now posing that much as she was just doing it the way when she is dancing, so I didn't have to tell her a lot what to do!
So, what is actually the pole dance? Well, maybe from the influence of the Hollywood movies, but the pole dance still has the reputation of strippers in the night club. Actually it is getting popular as an excercise and something to learn, also it is gving you the oppurtunity to practice and enjoy spins, acrobatics, floor movement and others tricky things! She is teaching students from 16 to 60 years of age, so you can do pole dance no matter what age you are, and no matter what job you are doing! Megumi is organizing a party called PDN. It has a different theme every time, for example doing collaboration with salsa and samba dancers, capoeira, or even jazz and and other types of live music combined with pole dancing to create an interesting show, and deliver their concept. Approximately 20 dancers perform on each show, and they dance until late in the night. Pole dance is a way for every woman to polish herself as a beautiful woman in a healthy way. You don't need to look like a celebrity or have amazing acrobat skills of an olympic player to do pole dance, it can be practiced by everyone no matter of social status and age!

Your not so typical japanese spider lady.
A skin pack was given out to the wrong group but I took advantage of the mishap to create something truly unique with her beautiful skins. Thank you Lure for this oppurtunity. It works perfect with Aii's Arachnid head. :)

thank you Aisling, for giving me the oppurtunity to do another SL portrait. I've been looking for an excuse to do one.
Part of the 'Wonderlijke Klim' exhibition. The 'wondrous climb' gives visitors what might be a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to see the 96 unique sculptures on the flying butresses of the Sint Janskathedraal in (saint John's cathedral) in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). The Sint Jan is only one of four cathedrals in the world to have such sculptures. Instead of saints or angels, they depict monsters and common city people, from the architects and masons who worked on the cathedral, to beggars and musicians.
The 'wonderlijke klim' exhibition coincides with the grand Jheronymous Bosch exhibition at the Noord-Brabants Museum in Den Bosch, celebrating the 500th anniversary of the painter's death. Like the paintings of Bosch, the sculptures on the cathedral butresses are from the late middle ages, and depict monsters and common folk, which was a new theme in art at that time. Art from the early and high middle ages often depicted saints, angels and biblical scenes, but certainly not the common workfolk or even beggars. To have them adorning the outside of the cathedral no less, is very unique, and something that could only have been concieved in that particular time and place. Apparently, Jheronymous Bosch personally knew the artist very well who designed these sculptures.

It is never easy to grab a photo of North Yorkshire Police's traffic cars...... But every now and then an oppurtunity appears and has to be grabbed...... especially when one is parked on your workplace doorstep...... LOL
Along with a number of BMW traffic cars.... North Yorkshire also have a small number of Audi's such as this one. They also have some saloon versions but I believe they are used on ANPR work. YJ10HTD is an Audi A4 Avant Se Tdi Quattro Estate, and is seen attending a 999 call in Harrogate Town Centre

I have not been able to build much lately, because I moved from Australia to the US. On the plus side, this means I finally have an oppurtunity to attend a lego Convention - Brickfair 2012!
I knew instantly that I would build a GBC module. I have always been interested in the Great Ball contraption, and I am very happy to be able to be a part of it!
In regards to the model: Its main features are a unique color sorter, and a ball array which spells out a message. Be sure to watch the video to see how it works.

An evening worth remembering! I was about to go to bed and fortunately I peek on the window that I soon realized how lovely it was outside with all these snow covered trees. It was pretty bright and almost look like nothing I ever seen. I just couldnt pass the a great photo oppurtunity.

so, these are the things i purchased today. i've always wanted to do one of these photos, so i thought this a good oppurtunity... me and eden spent the day in daylesford today. i now adore that little town. there were so many cute and quirky little shops. it was such a brilliant day.
hmmm...i should stop spending so much money some time soon...or maybe not! hehe!

Today was a semi busy day, after working late on Monday I was drained and really felt out of my element while snapping photos after work. So alas after a brief nap, I went out for a walk with my special someone and her dog downtown. As I have spent the last (at least 4) Christmas eve (evening) at my mom's house, it was a neat treat to see State Street so quiet. We strolled down State, when out of the corner of my eye I saw a bright flash. I turned my head quick to see what had caused the fast burst of light but it had vanished from site. Shuffling through the light, newly fallen snow we trekked a little further turning towards the public library building. Bright flashes were seen again, this time by the both of us. I looked towards the end of the library building and a saw a man with a tripod snapping photos of the large windows on the Overture. I knew that this was the perfect oppurtunity for a new stranger for my 100 more strangers project and approached him and exclaimed "What a great evening, we have the isthmus all to ourselves!" A smile grew on his face and at that moment I knew that sharing the connection of photography would make him a great subject.
Introductions were short, as I asked what he did with his photos. He informed me that he shared them on Facebook as well as here (on Flickr), although I'll be honest I didn't know him by his given name (Richard Linton *like LINT ON*) he informed me that he may or may not have heard of me. Explaining my photography journey over the last nearly five years of my life, Richard explained to me he was more a hobbyist then anything else. While some photographers are making money selling shots, Richard gets out and enjoys the day by clicking photos. As not to intrude in his frame, I asked what he was trying for with the images for this Christmas eve photo shoot. He pointed and showed me that he was taking in the reflections of the capitol in the Overture as well as the glow of the new Madison Library. His trusty D90 was taking in the scene, and I as a former D90 owner can appreciate a good reflective low-light scene.
As the snow continued to fall and our cameras became dusty with the fresh powder, I asked Richard if I would be so willing to take his photo to include him int the 100 more strangers project. He smiled and agreed, I decided to take advantage of the reflections for my own image to help capture Richards vantage point for the photos he was taking. While there are a few nit picky little things to this frame that I don't like, I really enjoyed the conversation provided by Richard. One, two, three, four, five, and six I snapped away capturing a very happy face. As puppy was getting cold, I too decided it was time to turn in and thanked Richard for his time.
I suggest you get out and snap photos sometime and look for strangers, try and do the 100 strangers challenge. It will help you meet new people and give you reason to learn more about those around you. I joined flickr for a little more than a year ago. Thats also when I bought a second hand digital camera and thought that I should take up a new hobby. I´ve always been facinated by photographs, especially the works of famous repotage photographers, war photographers and the national geographic crew. I didn´t know that it more or less would become an obsession at the time.
During this year I have just been trying to find my place. Testing out what I like to do, what inspires, and just trying to build a little stock of shots that I like. I´m slowly starting to figure out where I want to go with my photography, it will probably change in time, but for now, I think I got it.
Since I began shooting this year I went from Color HDR to hard processed bw to where I find myself just right now, striving for as natural bw as possible. I don´t shoot thousands of shots, I wait, I click, and thats it. During the winter I have only been able to shoot during weekends. So, I have gone out, gathered five shots and then posted them thruout the week. I envy the ones with hundreds or even thousands of shots on their harddrives. :)
I want to take the oppurtunity to thank all of you guys that passes by with a kind comment. Many of you probably never hear a kind word back, and for that I am truly sorry. Life takes its toll as well, just know that Im deeply gratefull for every single word...

As much as Iove the idea of the new App-Controlled Batmobile (Set 76112) It just doesn't look like a Batmobile. Not really. Which meant it was the perfect oppurtunity to MOC it up.
So, using the 1989 Batmobile as inspiration, I present - The Chibi Batmobile.
And yes, it's a lot of fun to drive.
Rosemary bags my coffee beans for me and we chat. It was quite a few months ago that I noticed she was quite attractive. . . petite and a bit of a sprite.
Rosemary doesn't work everyday, so it was hard to catch her at the times when I had my camera. Finally, I caught her with just my camera and the mounted lens.
10-18mm lens is NOT the ideal portrait lens, but you do with what you got. Monday, I'm going to print up copies for her.
I really admire her fine bone structure. She is such a super nice person and works like she's in high speed all of the time.

Wandered around over the fromer navy shipyard Willemsoord to see if there were oppurtunities to make some nice shots of the boats in the evening sun. made this shot just before I crossed the bridge to go back home.
The Waunakee Volunteer Fire Department did a controlled burn of some of the buildings on the Kaltenburg Seed Farm this evening. Even though I snapped plenty of pictures (thanks to my friend Steve for this oppurtunity), it came down to the usual battle within choosing one. I paticularly liked this shot (not only because other friends did as well) but because of the intimacy. Up close and personal!

"On Thursday, March 28, marchers began gathering at Clayborn Temple in anticipation of Dr. King. Nearly 15,000 marchers participated. Students from Memphis schools left the classroom to join the march. He arrived around 11:05 am, and they began the march with King and the sanitation workers, who had been marching this same path for weeks, in the front, while youths ran about throughout the march, pressing to get to the front.[5]
After marching only half a mile, the youth’s agitation, derived from a rumor that the police had killed a Hamilton High Student earlier that morning, erupted into vandalism, looting, and rioting. The police reacted brutally to the riot, launching against both nonviolent protesters and the youth. Reverend Lawson and Reverend Jackson urged protesters to return to Clayborn Temple. The marchers retreated to Clayborn Temple, while police surrounded the building. “The interior of Clayborn looked like the aftermath of a war,” Kathy Pittman Black reported.[5] The entire building was filled with many injured and terrified protesters. The police attacked those that tried to the leave the church with mace, tear gas, and clubs.[5] At one point, police even entered the church, swinging clubs and shooting tear-gas canisters.
The day ended as 4,000 heavily armed National Guardsmen troops poured into the city.[5] 280 people had been arrested during the riot, and 60 were reported injured. One sixteen-year old boy, Larry Payne died at the hands of a police officer that day, shot in the stomach after being suspected of looting.[4] Payne’s funeral was held in Clayborn Temple on April 2, 1968, and Rev. Harold Middlebrook said, "We really felt his death was related to the movement."[4] Despite police pressure to have a private closed-casket funeral in their home, the family held the funeral at Clayborn and had an open casket.
Dr. King was rushed back to his hotel when the strike erupted into a riot on March 28, 1968. He vowed he would return to Memphis to lead a successfully peaceful march. King returned to Memphis a week later, but was assassinated on April 4, 1968 before his second march from Clayborn took place. On April 16, a deal was finally negotiated for union recognition and better wages for the sanitation workers.[5] The strike had come to an official end."
A fantastic opportunity arose recently when I located a drinking hole for a small group of crossbills! They came down twice within the space of an hour (they are very thirsty birds due to their diet of extremely dry pinecones!) and offered wonderful photographic oppurtunities. I returned to the area this morning but unfortunately they failed to return, though they were still in the area.
This will probably be my last new image for a while, as my revision begins tomorrow in preparation for my AS exams in May and June!
My good friend Levi Mandel. Levi moved to NYC a few years back and its been great keeping in touch and both seeing eachother progressing as photographers. He recently had the amazing oppurtunity to shoot one of my biggest inspirations: Ryan McGinley. I took this same image on my last trip to NYC but the film somehow was exposed and i lost the entire roll. I re-did as best possible this week while he was in Seattle.
During a recent business trip to Hong Kong, Lindi and I got the oppurtunity to get some time to roam around the streets of Hong Kong. There are some amazing contrasts between the big brand high fashion shops on the main street, then in the alley ways just off those same streets you get a glimpse of real Hong Kong life.
This is one of the many meat, poultry and fish market stalls we came across. It was crowded with people, so it took some patience to wait for a gap in the human traffic to grab a shot of this scene.
For the geeks: Nikon D700 with 17-35 f2.8. Taken at 35mm F2.8 1/400, ISO1600. Looking at this now I could have gone for 1/200 and lowered the ISO. This was handheld with available light. I'm so impressed with the low light capabilities of the D700, this was taken after 6pm on a very wet and overcast day.
Not a full moon, that's on Friday, but given the weather at the moment I took the oppurtunity while the sky was clear!

The following text was taken from a brochure I got from the church.
This church was originally established in 1860, and the church and the community of High Hill, Texas, enjoy a recorded history dating back to the mid-1800s.
During the European immigration near 1860, several families of Austrian and German descent discovered High Hill. They were looking for religious freedom and oppurtunities in the new world.
At first, life in the rugged new country was difficult. The new Texans had to travel to neighboring communities to celebrate such things as Christmas Mass. Finally, in 1869, the first church was built. Lumber for that church was hauled from Columbus, Texas, by ox-wagon and sawed at the local saw mill. They laid a brick foundation and began construction of the first church building. On September 8, 1870, the first Catholic church of High Hill was blessed.
The coummunity continued to grow and in 1875, the second church of High Hill was completed. Meanwhile, the old church building became the site of the first Catholic school at High Hill and served as the school building until 1922.
St. Mary Church as it stands today is the third church to be built on the original nine acres deeded to the church in 1868. It uses a classic example of the Gothic Revival style construction while displaying late Victorian features and European background of the German and Czech Moravian settlers of the area. Once construction began on the current church, the old church was dismantled and material, wherever possible, was used in the new church.
The original 18 stained glass windows from the second church were placed into the present church, and 5 new windows were placed in the sanctuary. Later, 2 more were added on either side of the tower.
The final decoration, artwork, wall, and ceiling were not completed until 1912. On September 8, 1906, the new brick church of High Hill was blessed, and the cornerstone for the structure was installed.
In 1909, a hurricane caused damage to the cross surrounding the spire, pushing it over at a right angle. Today, this cross still dominates the horizon.
The pulpit, a communion rail, and baptismal enclosure were not completed until 1910, and the three altars were placed in the church in 1911. Each of the altars were gifts of church parishioners.
Three bells from the second church were placed in the belfry of the current church and remain operational today.
North of the present church is a beautiful marble cross on a mound surrounded by cedar trees. The cross was placed there from its former location in the front of the second church. It was originally placed there in 1891.
The advent of continued growth and industrialization to Texas hepled High Hill flourish. the community had saw mills, blacksmith shops, and a post office. However, cotton farming became the mainstay of most landowners and, because the people of High Hill did not want a railroad, it remains a very small community today.

Beside taking interesting characters in the street while they were in their midst of action, I also like to take Stranger's Street Portrait. Last saturday while walking the street with Foxsama www.flickr.com/photos/foxsama/ I managed to captured two stranger street portraits. This is my 2nd stranger portrait for the day. The 1st stranger was a lady who initiated the portrait shooting.

As Foxsama and I were walking passing these two characters who distributed FREE Newspaper, the lady shouted at me "LIVERPOOL!". I turned and ask her if she is also a Liverpool FC fan. She said, "YES!" Oppurtunity open and I grab it by saying, "then I should capture your image!" which she gladly posed for me. I turned around to move on but I heard another call, "LIVERPOOL!". It's from this man which is another opportunity for another portrait. I said, "Yes! You also a Liverpool FC Fan! Then I should capture your image also". He also posed gladly for my camera. We did introduce ourselves but I do not write it down. We parted with joy and gladness as Foxsama is wondering from a distance as to what has happened to John and how he did that.
So I could not include them in my 100 Strangers project as I do not have enough info on them.
yesterday i had the oppurtunity to meet up with an old friend and try some portrait stuff with a model other than me. i had alot of fun and hope to be able to so this more often

Next on the London tour is a little trip to the infamous leadenhall market.
This is a bustling place full of people, shops and stalls and topped off with wonderful architecture giving plenty of oppurtunities for anyone with a camera.
I took plenty of shots but love this one looking straight up at the mesmorizing ceiling.
I put on my 10-20 to squeeze in as much as possible and had to take a few shots as my arms where shaking a bit pointing my D300s straight up with a big rucksack on my back full of camera gear and my tripod.

The Al-Rifa'i Mosque (Arabic: مسجد الرفاعى, transliterated also as Al-Rifai, Al-Refai, Al-Refa'i, and named in English the Royal Mosque), is located in Cairo, Egypt, in Midan al-Qal'a, adjacent to the Cairo Citadel. The building is located opposite the Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, which dates from around 1361, and was architecturally conceived as a complement to the older structure. This was part of a vast campaign by the 19th century rulers of Egypt to both associate themselves with the perceived glory of earlier periods in Egypt's Islamic history and modernize the city. The mosque was constructed next to two large public squares and off of several European style boulevards constructed around the same time.
The Al-Rifa'i Mosque was constructed in two phases over the period between 1869 and 1912, when it was finally completed. It was originally commissioned by Khushyar Hanim, the mother of the 19th century Khedive Isma'il Pasha to expand and replace the preexisting zawiya (shrine) of the medieval era Islamic saint Ahmad al-Rifa'i. The zawiya was a pilgrimage site for locals who believed that the tomb had mystical healing properties. Khushayer envisioned a dual purpose for the new structure as a house for sufi relics and a mausoleum for the royal family of Egypt. Over the course of its construction the architect, design, and purpose were changed.
The original architect was Husayn Fahmi Pasha al-Mi'mar, a distant cousin in the dynasty founded by Muhammad Ali in 1803. He died during the first phase of construction, and work was halted after Khedive Isma'il Pasha abdicated in 1880. Khushayar Hanim herself died in 1885, and work was not resumed until 1905 when the Khedive Abbas Hilmi II ordered its completion. Work was supervised by the Austrian architect Max Herz, head of the Committee for the Conservation of Arab Monuments in Cairo.
The building itself is a melange of styles taken primarily from the Mamluk period of Egyptian history, including its dome and minaret. The building contains a large prayer hall as well as the shrines of al-Rifa'i and two other local saints, Ali Abi-Shubbak and Yahya al-Ansari.
The mosque is the resting place of Khushyar Hanim and her son Isma'il Pasha, as well as numerous other members of Egypt's royal family, including King Farouk, Egypt's last reigning king, whose body was interred here after his death in Rome in 1965. The mosque served briefly as the resting place of Reza Shah Pahlavi of Iran, who died in exile in South Africa in 1944, and was returned to Iran after World War II. Part of the burial chamber is currently occupied by Reza Shah's son Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, who died in Cairo in 1980. I actually have photo's of these tombs so i will be posting them shortly.
I hate this, but I loved this day. Had the most amazing brunch with the OlmShipmans where I ate enough to feed four grown men, and then went to my bball game straight after (returning league champions don't even ask if we won because we did) where I just about threw up everywhere and then went to the Gathering with my friend Cameron. and then i came home and took this shitty picture.

On Sunday, i got the oppurtunity to photograph Underage Festival for RedBull Reporter. This is most certainly the biggest oppurtunity and event i have covered in my life. I photographed bands such as Hadouken, Don Broco, Ellie Goulding and Professor green. Unfortunately i'm not allowed to upload any of my live photos yet so i have uploaded 4 portraits i have.
Between Ellie's and Professor Greens set the photographers were ushered out of the tent by the back exit, me and a few others stuck around to meet Ellie. In a very nervous manner i asked for a quick portrait of her. fortunately she agreed however she was fairly awkard. Luckily i was able to get this which i am very pleased with. Her Live set after that was probably one of the best sets i have seen.

The Chaunus Gunship. The newest addition to the Northern Sector (a subfaction within the Froggian Empire, focusing on air/space-superiority), is a magnificent and impressive vessel. Even for human standards. Although it is no larger then an average human fighter, it is a true-blooded gunship for the small amphibians. Heavily armed with a multitude of weapons, paired with suprising speed, it is fully capableof bringing down practically everything from fighters to frigates. Deployed in groups, paired with a few squadrons of the F9-Ranas, they are basically unstoppable.
Luckily for the largest part of the galaxy, the Northern sector only seems to focus on 2 other factions. Their age-old enemies, The French, and a new and brutal group, who, suprisingly, are made of a bunch of... monkeys...
I like Frogspace. It opens a lot of different oppurtunities because it is somewhere in between Microspace and Figspace (standard-scale).
I think it turned out relatively well. It took me about 4 hours (in which time I also realised I despirately need more frogs, namely 6 to fill out all the vessels I have built right now. I have... 2 :/ ) and I used the same technique as with my RCC-Ares.
My third and most likely last entry for this year's Vic Viper-fest.

Volleyball is one of those sports you don't really have to shoot the whole match to get highlights, so it gave me an oppurtunity to shoot some photos until i had to pick up the video camera
A.K.A. 'Damn' toby, Patience toby, Jitter toby, fast toby etc. (-;
Grows up to 10cm. Looking at my original photographs some tips for other photographers:
- Get a small enough aperture. f/11 or smaller
- Set a shutterspeed of more than 1/80 (otherwise the toby won't be sharp enough). You need to set a high shutterspeed, because you'll be moving around very quickly to frame the toby.
- Take more than 10 or more photos (I'm very impatient) in order to get at least a usuable one. You'll have a lot of unsharp and 'just not it' photos in your serie.
- Get as much as a 'second eye' in the frame for a more pleasing photo.
- The eyes must be sharp, but that's a wellknown underwater photography tip. Humans are very focused on eyes.
- This fish like shallows and depths of 0-15 metres. Take the end of your dive and spend your safety stop time photographing this fish. Not much use chasing this fish at depth (unless it's a real oppurtunity such as more than 1 fish or a very relaxed subject)
