On Friday, September 19, Monsanto hosted the fifth annual Inspire Fashion Show which is supported by United Way's Multicultural Leadership Society. Hundreds of attendees had the oppurtunity to experience current and cultural fashions from all over the world.
Shot with Kat at the House of Nightmares Group shoot on 11/29/08. It was a blast doing this set in a dark, cold, and dirty basement. If anyone ever has the oppurtunity to work with Kat.... Do NOT pass up the oppurtunity!
Shot with a Nikon D300, 17 - 200 MM VR lens and a SB800 flash. I used 2 Britek 1500 watt strobes (1 behind an umbrella diffuser and the other as a main with umbrella) to balance out some light in this dark warehouse basement.
On Sunday, i got the oppurtunity to photograph Underage Festival for RedBull Reporter. This is most certainly the biggest oppurtunity and event i have covered in my life. I photographed bands such as Hadouken, Don Broco, Ellie Goulding and Professor green. Unfortunately i'm not allowed to upload any of my live photos yet so i have uploaded 4 portraits i have.
When i first heard 'Radar Detector' by Darwin Deez in March, i knew it would be my summer '10 song. little did i know that i would get the chance to meet them and get a picture. STOKED.

This photo was taken in a big Hindu temple in the center of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In my opinion, this photo describes the Malaysian hospitality.
In the five months that I lived in Malaysia, I have been invided to at least five weddings, both Hindu and Islamic, while just passing the street! The first time, it felt a little strange because in The Netherlands a wedding is a 'private party' that you have with friends and family. But in Malaysia they want to share it. They love to have you on their wedding photos (because knowing white, 'rich people' gives you a higher status). I really wanted to see the wedding rituals so I went inside the temple, but it was really embarrasing when the master of the ceremonies said that I have to stand next to the bride (where this picture is made). I was standing in the front, even 'higher' than the family. I felt really embarrased but the guests really loved it! And secretly, it was a good oppurtunity to see it all and take some nice photos! The wedding was awesome: the temple was beautiful with all the colourfull god statues, a lot of offers, the typical smell of a combination of flowers and incense, the guests weared beautiful clothes and the music was awesome. It was such a great atmosphere!

God, im old I still can't believe its been three years since I began writing for the sims. This is sooo unreal! Its odd looking back and remember my 13 year-old-self and my REALLY REALLY imature stories lol.

I finally got an iTouch from my parents. LOVE THEM BOTH! HAHAH, i've had a 3rd generation nano for the past year and a half and ever since the iTouchs came out of been DIEING FOR ONE! Yeah, the only bad thing about having a ton of songs on my iPod is how loooong it took for the dumb thing to sync!
Its funny today my mommy and I were talking about the day I was born (corny i know) and she goes "You should get ME a present. I did all the hard work 16 years ago today!" and then I go "Yeah, but I had the job of GROWING! That couldn't have been easy!" I honestly have no idea! I can't fucking remember!

I've been listening to him since I was 9 years old and it really kills that he's gone =[ I will really miss you MJ and I really hope you're moonwalking up in heaven. While on my trip to visit Stonehenge, Salisbury is just down the road. So I took the oppurtunity to pay a visit. I would recommend the ecellent park & ride bus serveice, which drtops you right in the heart of the city.

i thought car show's would've been a great photo oppurtunity but it wasn't all that. the only shots worth uploading are ones with the models. there were parts of the show that had really bad lighting as well.

The second year of the Bhakti Summer Sangha was a great success, as it gave an oppurtunity to the younger generations to explore spirituality and practice activities such as meditation, kirtan, satsang, seva, and much more among their own peers.
The Summer Sangha has a schedule built around the 9 forms of Bhakti, so that each day the kids and young adults a taste of each of the forms of devotion. The participants are getting a chance to participate in workshops on music, on meditation, and throughout everything, on building a deeper and sweeter relationship to God - in the Guru, in His many many avatars, in the people, and especially within themselves.

These little stubby covered hoppers have been more and more frequent on the Homewood to Kankakee CN local. From Kankakee they have been heading west on the NS local going toward Streator. About 3 months ago i missed a oppurtunity to snag a shot. But this morning i was able to find 4 or them around the Kankakee CN yard.

Inspired by Lisa Lawley and her shot of one of these, I jumped at the oppurtunity to photograph one of these today. It was on a massive complex of web and leaves... it was amazing! I love the markings on the face and its size was what impressed me most.
Also I though you might like to know I have aquired work experience at a certain swan sanctuary... so some pictures of swans might be making their way onto flickr in the coming week :)

A Patrooper with the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, low-crawls under an obstacle during the All American Week Best Squad Competition on Fort Bragg, N.C., May 23, 2017. The Best Squad Competition is an All American Week tradition where squads from throughout the Division complete an obstacle course, a warrior skills lane, a combat lifesave skills lane, and a stress shoot for time. All American Week is an oppurtunity for Paratroopers, past and present, to come together and celebrate the history, heritage and pride of being a member of the All American Division. This year's All American Week theme is, "Celebrating a Century of Service!"

These children are in prison with their mothers. They will live with their mom in prison until they are five. When they reach age five the mother will try and find relatives to take them. If none can be found, they go to an orphanage, or live on the street.

A few of us managed to draw out the Squam magic a little longer at this lovely farmhouse nearby. I can't tell you yet what we were up to but I can tell you that these are some of the most interesting, fun women I've shared a meal with. Given how busy they all were during Squam (Elizabeth next to me is behind the whole thing, Michelle opposite her is her assistant director and Thea and Tory were busy documenting everything) I'm so glad I had this oppurtunity to spend some time with them all. We were busy, but there was also plenty of laughter and a lot of precious sharing about how we live our creative businesses.
It's rainy season, All the nearby canals of dhaka filled with water connected with surrounding rivers provides local enthusiastic fisherman the oppurtunity to catch the fishes ...

Well we arrived home on June the 28th 6 hours late from Dulles Washington , got our bags and headed to the long stay car park at Heathrow , anyways bus dropped us off and we headed to the car and these guys came into land , was really tired and this is the pic of the bunch however didnt want to miss the oppurtunity to bag me a few last shots , was really cool being on the flight path at the right time , noisy beggars but fun to shoot

I recently had an oppurtunity to shoot with models working the Modern Bridal Fashion Show. It was a very hectic shoot and required a lot of "on the fly" lighting. I was able to shoot at the hotel bar which was a perfect setting for some of the bridesmaid's dresses that were being modeled that day. I was looking forward to working with Megan as we were planning to do a shoot and it just so happened she was going to be at this fashion show.
