Olives starting to appear, a slightly unnerving fence find, bougainvillea cut back and the supervisor.
The road to Caramella canyon in the Ports. There are some houses a bit further up, but we always walk. Today it was mild but hazy.

Plenty of growth after a mild winter and lots of blossom, although we don't expect to be able to eat any olives
OK its on a Thursday. That's because I'll be lacking in internet connectivity tomorrow.
The Riviera had quite a bit snow this week, in fact there is still some on the ground, which is fairly rare. I took a couple of photos of olive trees in snow, which is not what they are used to.

An odd one this. Some branches have recently died off, while others right next door to them are flourishing with new shoots. You can see this in the adjacent close up photo where there are some lighter green leaves here and there. At first I thought this was merely an example of botched pruning where the pruner had left a few of the cut branches in the tree but that does not appear to be the case as the dead bits are clearly attached to the rest of the tree. Since I go past this young tree quite frequently on my way into the village to buy bread I'll see what happens over the next few months.
