A mature deciduous tree located at Sullivan Point Park, Crescent Beach reveals some physical changes due to the season.
I have been photographing this tree for over 6 years now. It has lost a lot of limbs in this time. It feels like a slow motion documentary, but I now feel strangely connected to this tree - it has been a while since I last stopped for it - glad to see it still hanging on.

A mated pair of Scarlet macaws (Ara macao) caught together in a tree with epiphytes, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. Although both birds were preening and hanging out in their home tree, I had to wait and watch for a long time to get a shot where they were close enough together to be in the frame and in focus.

“If these olive trees could talk, they’d have a lot to say”
The local millennium olive tree groves in north eastern Spain are home to some very old trees, some over 2,000 years old, dating all the way back to Roman times.
This region of Spain has the greatest concentrations of millennium trees in the world, with over 4,000 of these behemoths in this area.
The disappearance of the olive trees is a loss for the people of Spain. As with heritage buildings, these organic remnants of past civilizations are a connection to the past and are irreplaceable.

'A CAUTIONARY GLANCE.'
Early evening and the time was right for the female to emerge from her nest inside a barn. She took her time to do this after being visited and rallied by her mate.
Here, she is taking a cautionary glance to the side, checking the immediate surroundings.

1. Taking pictures a tool (camera), not a photographer.
2. The choice of tool limits the possibilities.
3. Experience allows him (instrument) less and less to limit their capabilities.
4. The ability to see is given only when the observer allows ...
5. The moment of observation is the real find ...
6. Training and mastering it defies. Training leads to poor imitations of the original.
7. Often the result should ripen, like wine. Although time is the understanding of the mind, therefore it is very speculative.
8. The meaning of all this is the process!
9. Let it be!

*I'm very impressed with the results given how old this film is, but will say it's history is known and it was kept in the freezer most of its life. Still, it's a lesson in how long film can last for when stored properly.
