....in a mostly white environment, we'd be lost without texture and the warmth added by natural materials, sucn as the ones seen above.

40th Anniversary Cake. Chocolate cake filled with whipped chocolate ganache, strawberry cake and french vanilla cakes filled with vanilla buttercream all iced in Vanilla Italian buttercream. My first attempt at making people out of fondant! They were made to match a picture of their wedding day 40 yrs ago where the bride wore a short skirt, lol. All edible except the brides veil and the ribbon on the second tier.

-> A skirt, redesigned ( but not sewn) by me, from a strapless H&M (limited collection ) dress, which was not so comfy to wear.
I love it for its huge secret pockets and its soft, woolen, greige material.
It is combined with:
-> a short sleeve top from Mango ( years
ago)
-> a cotton mix chestnut brown cardigan
( twin set) from a local shop
-> a softest, chevron striped scarf from
the Girls H&M Collection ( last winter)
-> a leather belt from Zara, with wooden
details ( bought in sales for 1/3 of its
original price - and it was kind of
pricey, back in winter 2008)
-> my broen, leather Zara boots ,aka my
second skin in the feet/leg area.
-> textured tights from H&M
-> a pearl, vintage pin to keep the scarf
in place ( sorry not seen here but am sure I'll find a picture )
A pretty trellis stitch made with soft acrylic and wool blend yarn makes a very dressy design on this tote.The button closure is adjustable to accommodate most size book. Inside pockets hold the book in place. I used a Reader's Digest Condensed book for the model, and it still had room to spare.It also has a bookmark sewn in. Sturdy straps. Makes a great gift.
The book tote will give a little, but please measure your book to make sure it will fit this tote.
