Off-roaf trip North of Kuwait 22 Nov 2014.

A work vehicle slid off the road at Polychrome Pass in Denali National Park. The photo doesn't do justice for how steep this slope is. I am shocked that it managed to stop where it did.

I walk my dog every evening for a couple of hours. I live in a rural area and usually follow the same route. Some times I take my camera sometimes I don't. Ive been doing this for years and you would have thought by now I would be running out of scenes to take pictures of. But of course every day is different and has infinite variations. Every shot I take off this bridge is unique.

taken by greg. it's actually a good way to end the work week... after i get home from UPS in the afternoon, i have enough time to shower, grab dinner, and then head off to work at the bar where we hang out on weekends. it's extra money, and i get to socialize without having to spend any. all and all it's a good time.

I met this charming couple of Goths on Preston Station who kindly posed for me whilst we were waiting for the train to arrive for Liverpool. Good conversation ensued and they informed me they were off to one of the clubs in Liverpool.

Trust they enjoyed their evening.

A new specialist policing team has been set up to tackle issues with off-road bikes across Greater Manchester, hitting the road recently.

The new Safer Roads Targeting Team at Greater Manchester Police will be on hand for community officers if off-road bikes are being used illegally in their area, equipped with a fleet of on and off-road bikes and unmarked cars to help catch offenders.

As well as introducing the Safer Roads Targeting Team, GMP is also launching a community ‘toolkit’, giving people information on how they can help police and other agencies tackle the issue.

The toolkit will be readily available on the GMP website to all those who need it with details on what information police and their partners need to take action against those who ride off road bikes illegally. It is designed to help tackle an issue that many say is top of the agenda for residents in some areas.

Chief Inspector Tariq Butt, who heads up GMP’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Off-road bikes being driven illegally are a big concern for us and also for the people of Greater Manchester.

“This new team will help us tackle the issue as effectively as we possibly can, but the toolkit we’ve put together will also enable people to help us do this – we can all take responsibility for our communities and letting the appropriate authorities know what’s happening in them. We need people to be active in looking after themselves and their neighbours and this toolkit gives people the information that they need to do this when it comes to off-road bikes.”

Greater Manchester Police currently works with local authorities and residents to tackle the problem of off –road bikes being used illegally. Measures include putting up warning signs, seeking civil orders to stop people committing offences or, if the problem is persistent, ultimately seizing a bike that is used illegally, taking it off the streets for good.

The Safer Roads Targeting Team will consist of seven off road bikes based at Eccles but covering the whole of Greater Manchester. View the toolkit at www.gmp.police.uk/reporting/offroadbikes.

Couldn't make up my mind whether the dog was cheesed off with hanging around doing nothing, or because of the pink jacket!

Number 39 for 52 in 2022 Challenge :That's a Bright Door

It's the fashion in the UK at present for everything to be muted greys! So no bright house doors to be seen locally except for my own yellow one.

An early Chevy Blazer, though i don't know if they carried that name then. I do like the old convertible trucks.

A Cuban railbus at the port of the world heritage city of Trinidad, having just operated an "illegal" trip for a small number of enthusiasts. Having just left the small turntable at the end of the line, the railbus promptly derailed. In true entrepreneurial spirit the driver proceeded to siphon back into the fuel tank the fuel he had previously siphoned out into his own container as a matter of emergency before calling for help!

Gotta keep that camera pointing down and off the horizon, so as to avoid that infernal glare.

I saw this guy dozing in the springtime sun. As I raised my camera he opened his eyes and raised his foot. As I continued down the street I could hear cries of ... excuse me ....excuse me.

As part of UCA Welcome Week, the UCA Greek community held the All Greek Stroll Off at the amphitheater on Monday. The capacity crowd watched as Greek organizations performed step routines prior to Midnight Madness in the student center.

A photo intensive trip 3 weeks in England one week in Portugal. This was a old fishing village in Portugal called Ericeira I stayed at for two days in a old old B and B. The date the village was founded has been evasive however I had a local tell me as he watched me set up a shot that the old animal watering tank I was imaging was 600 years old,,,,,, it still held water, This image will appear soon as well.. The morning I found the scene of the boat was a great morning of discovery as I took a day and put image hunting by car off, walked around looking for visual treasures. I was not disappointed the rest will follow,,,,
