Face/Off, a pretty cool rollercoaster at Paramount's King's Island...Cedar Point wise it could be described as a kinda lame Raptor or a very cool Wicked Twister with a...twist...
Terra was jumping off the dock and I said
"Here, jump of again and let me take a picture of you." She said ok and tried twirling to face me. Cool, huh?
Haven't been able to really test the new camera 'cause conditions have been bad for shooting anything lately-it's been hotter than hell and not a cloud in the sky. I went to the beach to try shooting shorebirds and fog was rolling in, completely enveloping the beach. Sunsets have been boring. So I went out and just goofed off while my s/o was mountain biking. This was taken at an open space park (is that a Southern California thing or what?). Anyway, this was the best I could do given what I had to work with!

In a few hours, I'll be Inshallah taking off from LAX to Cairo via Paris / Romania. It's the first time I've ever left the country (because Canada doesn't count) and I'll be staying for nearly five months as an international student.
Keep track of my flight:
L.A. to Paris (Air France #67)
Paris to Romania (Air France #1088)
Keep tabs on me by checking my Flickr periodically and my blog, modenadude.com from time to time. I'll have Internet there, and my phone number will still work (thanks magicJack!).
Get ready for an adventure of a life time!!

More live music today. Bill Withers Live from Carnegie Hall is phenomenal begining to end. I'd even call it a national treasure. Bill is still alive and retired - I think in West Virginia, his native state.
San Diego DSLR Photo Group - Belmont Park Night Shoot:
I don't know if the parrot was pissed-off or not but he definitely showed a lot of attitude for this shot. Some guy had this bird and a blue-green parrot hanging out on the boardwalk near Belmont Park.

The hallway in the storage facility that holds most of Scott's belongings now, as well as some of mine. It's slight off-centre, but I like the way the workmen at the end of the hallway worked themselves into the photo while the local rock station blasted in the background.
Storing trash receptacles off the ground can make it more difficult for rodents to access food. This design provides an opportunity to use snap traps on the I-beam.
