Since I printed this image as a large archival print 13"x19", I've come to believe it is one of my best. Years of painting taught me to seach for simplicity, large shapes, shadow and light. The gulls, although they appear to be the subject of this photo, are to me Impressionistic specks of light. This was shot in the late afternoon when the light had warmed and made a nice contrast with the cooler blues in the foreground.

As I was off the week (between jobs) I took time with my dad to viti the home of Scottish Football on Monday - Hampden Park. We had a great day.

Now clear of Bellows Falls, the Pan Am Railway blasts off with an SD40-2 leading a pair of former CSX Dash 8's, heading south on the evening of 9-9-17.
One afternoon we booked a dolphin sunset cruise. They were at pains to tell us that you aren't guaranteed to see them, but Lady Luck was sure shining on us as we saw loads of them. One of the later group we followed had this little guy in it who loved showing off to the chasing boats (we got up to about 5 different boats).
Taking photos on a rocking boat is not an easy task, but I got real lucky with this :)
