I used a Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 lens on my Nikon N90s for this shot. I waited over an hour for the eagle to take off. Sometimes patience works. I used Fujichrome Sensia 200 for this shot.
The sky cooperated nicely as well.

better on full screen. since i can't solve a rubik's cube i decided to find another way to put it to use. set it under a clear glass bowl, then set another clear glass bowl on top, add water and a little olive oil, give it a stir and see what happens. ended up with some flying Xbox symbols (maybe microsoft will want to borrow this:). that oil and water stuff is fun, different every time with just the slightest change in light or direction.
Summer Saturday and a pair of 20's head for Skegness holiday makers beware the first coach.. On the 22nd August 1981 it was 20087 & 20070 that provided the power for the 09.22 Derby to Skegness train, it was recorded belting through Beeston. Those enthusiasts in the first coach would probably never see the sea at Skeggie, they would lurk within the station or the more adventurous might make it to the nearest chippie. The bucket 'n' spade brigade would stay well clear of the alien species that "Need the SOUND and the FUMES" in coach one.
20070 and 20087 were both products of Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn limited being D8070 and D8087. 20070 was built 30/06/1961, withdrawn 11/04/1991 and cut at M.C. Metals 07/12/1992 20087 was built 26/09/1961 it spent time with RFS as thier 29 during the Channel Tunnel building, back in England it is now preserved on the ELR.

Cats have some sort of a gyroscope in their brain - we know that works when they fall from high buildings and survive. Perhaps they also have some sort of compass, too, as they tend to arrange themselves ornamentally in the geographic center of rugs or other flat forms. I once had a cat that particularly liked to be in the center of a carpet, the center of a throw rug on the carpet, and, ideally, in the middle of a piece of paper set in the center of that rug. In this case, Oliver is a bit off...

Here I am, trying to get some sleep, but the snoring and grunting of all these other elves makes it impossible to get any shut-eye. Even Bentley can’t seem to get any rest. I occasionally hear a giggle or two from a couple elves who continue to keep us all awake. I hope something is done in the morning. Gmbl.
