I believe this is a red-tailed hawk - Harlan's variety. Patagial marks not in view, but they are there.
These photos were taken at East Matunuck Beach. It is one of those Rhode Island beaches often overlooked by tourists, but a favorite of the locals. You can see Point Judith Lighthouse in the distance.
Just back from a lovely 1 1/2 week trip to Maine! This shot was taken from Mackworth Island in Falmouth on July 25, 2017.

This is in Low Scrubs near Wendover in the Chiltern Hills. I was riding a bridleway down into Wendver from Longdown Hill.

Before we head inside, here’s a quick look at the center portion of the façade, featuring the Walmart logo. The gray portion of the repaint was complete at this point, but as you can clearly see, crews had yet to come back and add in the blue portion. What I find interesting – and likely you do as well – is that the painters evidently did not account for the Walmart spark, and as such had to paint carefully around it XD
Obviously, the portion remaining in brown in this photo does not represent the exact size or location of the forthcoming blue paint portion, given that it (duh!) doesn’t completely encompass the entire Walmart logo. What interests me in particular about this odd paint job, though, is that – to my eyes, anyway – the gray paint looks to have been applied in equal amounts on either side of the logo. So could it be that the logo was off-center this whole time?!

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)

Ending off the Spirit stores in Lake County in Willoughby, we have one situated in an old American Freight, which closed in 2019 or 2020 due to the close-proximity to another, or COVID-19. Before American Freight, it was a Sears Outlet, and before it became an outlet I am pretty sure it was a hometown store. Tomorrow, we will have two Spirit stores! The ones in Solon, and Aurora.

“We’re finally here!”
“I’m glad, too. Bentley, I’m not going to let go of you again!”
“Maurice, you’re not going to be grumpy, are you?”
“No, Jill Ellyn. I’m just tired of being separated from the things I like.”
“I understand. I lost something this past summer and I can’t find it. I’m sad about it, but I don’t let that get me down.”
“It looks like some elves are having a little trouble here.”
“What do you mean? I thought all elves were helpful and knew what to do.”
“Not this bunch! There’s a few in this group that are strangers.”
US Air Force Thunderbirds F-16 fighter jets retract their landing gear after taking off in formation during the Kwik Fill Rochester International Airshow in Rochester, New York on Sunday, August 17, 2014.
“So that’s your secret! Thanks for sharing.”
“I hope that made you feel better about all this.”
“Oh, it does! It made that long trip go so quickly. I only wish Bentley could have been here to hear all this.”
“I think he overheard us as the baggage compartment was in the next car.”
“Oh, good. Now that we’re here, we simply wait for the bus.”
“It will then only be another hour before we arrive at the North Pole.”
This is Prestwick Railway Station and it could easily be the ending or the beginning of your train journey!
