This curious looking Intercity Buses coach is a locally bodied MAN 8.153 dating from August 2000. Specification of the Koukoukillides bodywork is C31D. Here it is seen passing along Nissi Avenue in the Cyprus resort of Ayia Napa on May 29th 2018.

The flash makes an odd curved reflection off the head of a White-lipped viper, Trimeresurus albolabris, as it tastes the air...
In the bushes, evading securtiy, I found this gun, or toy. It has a mechanism and a barrel and a slot for the magazine, but I´ve never seen anything like it. It´s only 48 cm long. Looks like the real thing, but it´s just a bit short and has these weird extensions to put it down and the strange tube over the barrel (a sight of some kind?)

Despite the large number of newer electric powered Yutongs in the fleet, Newport Transport continues to operate a large number of older diesel powered Dennis Tridents and Alexander Dennis E40Ds. These are retained primarily for school peak hour services.
The Tridents that carry Plaxton President and Alexander ALX400 bodywork have all been converted from dual to single-door configuration. However, the odd bods are a pair with Alexander Enviro400 bodywork - 408 and 409 - that were new to Metroline and were built without off-side lower deck emergency exits, necessitating the retention of their centre doors. They were acquired in 2021 after a spell with a Surrey based operator.
You have to be in the right place at the right time so see them on the road, and I was fortunate to catch up with 408 in September 2025 at the Old Green Roundabout as she was returning to the depot after an afternoon school run.

彼女の警告とはうらはらに、森の気配は相変わらず穏やかに感じます。
けれど、彼女の不思議な目には、自分には見えない何かが写っているのかもしれない。
そう思うと、今まで穏やかだった森の気配が急によそよそしくなった気がしました。

Sanyo Xacti C1
As a tribute to the odd panel cars flickr group...
My faithful but bright orange Sanyo C4 died recently, after about 3 years abuse.. I've replaced it with a higher-spec HD1A, but rooted out my obsolete C1, the camera that got me hooked on this great design, (still working but missing battery cover and a few screws) for a bit of organ donation.
All 3 of these cameras have been about £20 off ebay over about 4 years, me going upmarket as the secondhand technology goes down!
