Just messing around starting to work out how to make table top images. This first attempt is a real simple light setup with one light on the background (needs more up top) and one 24 " softbox about 8 inches above the glass, with the glass at the back edge to front light the tomato, Base is a granite tile. No photoshoppery on this one, just adjustments to the tones in Lightroom

There was a rather odd cloud to the west tonight. From the vantage point of the Emeryville Marina, it seemed to be originating to the north of Mt. Tamalpais.
I considered this one of my less successful quilts but strangley when I put it with a pile of quilts to give several family members this summer they actually fought over who got it......you just never know.
Sire Thomas Wildey Monument
architectural style: neoclassical, Grecian Doric
architect - sculptor: Edward F. Durang
dedicated: 1865
Past Grand Master, Sire Thomas Wildey established the American charter for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (Washington Lodge Number One), in 1819. He was buried in Baltimore's Green Mount Cemetery, in 1861.
Atop the doric column is a life-size statue of the widow Charity (protecting orphans) and two children.
The dado (pedestal) bears bas reliefs of symbols of the Order. On the southern face is the seal of the Grand Lodge of the United States. Carvings of Faith and Hope are featured on the eastern and western facings.
The four emblems of the IOOF are sculpted in the faces of the frieze of the entablature - the three links, the heart and band, the bundle of rods and the globe.

I've gone into Autumn overload the last few days, looking for Autumn leaves everywhere.
Here's another one on top of a hedge down the park with the sun shining through it.
Most of the leaves haven't changed yet but I know it won't be long until everything turns brown.

Some of the shots are merges across several exposures. There was a huge dynamic range between the darkest dark and brightest bright. This image was from a failed merge and I rather liked it.
From the archives. Sassy and I were at the old fishin' hole down in Kent taking pictures of ducks and here comes this chicken. We got quite the chuckle from our surprise. God Bless the Odd Ducks in this world! Thank God tomorrow's Friday too!
