I seemed to have missed the Indian Summer!

I've either missed the last train, or am very very early for the first train...

I've recently read an article on monopods, and it reminded me I have one languishing in tripod corner. So today I took it out in the garden with me. I must say I've fallen in love with it again.

No time for two distinct pictures today.... but who can resist some Tamworth Pigs?

I went for a walk as my new Fitbit was telling me I hadn't quite done 10,000 steps yet. Came across these lovely berries scattered under the tree.

A bit of experimentation today. My new camera has double exposure facility and this is my first go with it.

Whippet thinks there might be a chef in the kitchen especially for his lunch.....

Finally I have them in the Devon 'crèche facility'

23rd October. Once she'd learned to look outside herself, she could go wherever she pleased.

Eyes and levitation. Double combi

This was bloody tough without photoshop. initally i got #4 to sit cross legged on a piano stool balanced on top of two kitchen chairs (health and saftey? Can you imagine explaining that in a and e!) with the black backdrop. Then i took a photo of a cushion in the same place but lower. then i blended them using image blender. i used a Snapseed effect at the end to cover the bad bits and give it that lift off feeling.

This beauty was carrying out some emergency repairs to her web today.

Game Pie, Spiced Sausage Rolls, Smoked Trout pate, not too much!

Happy Birthday Sammy & Barney!

Today my cats are 14 years old. Sammy has been a little off colour today, but rallied for his birthday supper of chicken and rice. Of course Sammy was supposed to be behind the table but got confused when I tried to put him there, but 50% success rate I think.

A spar day for me and my friend at Ragdale Hall, Leicestershire. Some lovely autumnal light when we arrived. Only took the phone with me today.

Spent a lovely few hours in the hide at my local nature reserve ... I went at lunchtime and the hide very quickly filled up with photographers that were all very pleasant (some I already knew and a couple I didnt) It was a lovely way to pass a bright afternoon with some good light ... sadly only caught a fleeting glimpse of the sparrow-hawk (the reason we were all there) but got this beauty instead

40 years later, not past the use by date it appears.

Cool clouds passing low in front of Dartmoor today. Stopped to snap. Then later it really rained too much for any further photos... so once again I will have to make do with one shot for the day.

I've had my new spider catcher 3 weeks now, but only one real spider in the house since then (that I've seen). So, I'm having to practice with the plastic one they send with the catcher.

Tidying out the bottom of a wardrobe I couldn't resist trying on my old line dancing boots. I also have a black pair. Put on ebay? Back in the wardrobe? Although I've not worn them for maybe 7 years, they've gone back in the wardrobe. Think yourselves lucky you got the boots - I started off thinking I'd do a selfie today.

You can tell I'm over half way through the month, I'm resorting to the list of shots I do as a last resort - yes it's a selfie.

When I was in Newfoundland in August I hoped to see lots of moose; in fact I saw 4 because around this time of year they head for the hills. This is my interpretation of one of them doing this, albeit that the snows have come early.

Yes, desperation sets in for my October Photo a Day challenge. This is Day 23/10.

What? Is there something on my nose?

What a great song writer and performer Tom Petty was. Full Moon Fever was (and still is) one of my favourite ever albums and was the soundtrack to our first year at university.

Well done Tom - you weren't just a Face in the Crowd. Now you're in The Great Wide Open.

Several cruise ships are sheltering in Torbay. Here is one of the most luxurious liners in the world, The Queen Mary 2. The world’s most famous active ship, built for the regular north Atlantic crossing between New York and Southampton but now stuck off Teignmouth until goodness knows when?

Say hello to Mathilda!

Portraits with a 28mm? During the #OctoberChallenge I'll try to show photographs that were shot exclusevly with the Leica Q

The horse chestnut trees are giving up their bounty. Keeps the spiders out!

Only had time for a late walk this evening for a shot for October Picture a day, but I was rewarded with an unusual Sunset.

Apparently it's international gin and tonic day.
